Josh Duhamel helped raised more than $1 million for his North Dakota hometown by hosting a Black Eyed Peas concert on Saturday.

The actor recruited his wife Fergie's band to headline a benefit show in his native Minot after heavy flooding forced 11,000 residents in the city from their homes earlier this summer.

About 16,000 fans turned up at the Minot Rising show at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds, where singer Fergie gave a shout out to the locals.

She told the crowd, "This is a beautiful, beautiful vision for us, especially for me because I have family here now... It might be small, but it has the biggest heart in America. North Dakota, we love you so much!"

Her bandmate will.i.am later took to his Twitter.com page to recognize Duhamel's efforts in organizing the fundraiser, writing, "Thank you for you (sic) passion, determination, and vision to do good, and ability to bring people together for a good cause... BEP had a concert in N Dakota & raised 1 million dollars for Minot flood recovery."

All proceeds will benefit flood victims.

"That's So Raven" actor Orlando Brown was so drunk at the time of his DUI arrest last month, his blood alcohol level was more than TWICE the legal limit ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told Brown's B.A.C. was measured at .17 during the August 12 arrest -- more than double the limit in California, which is .08.

23-year-old Brown -- whose pregnant girlfriend was a passenger in the car during the arrest -- has been charged with 2 counts of DUI and could spend several months in jail if convicted.

TMZ broke the story, Brown was originally pulled over for driving without a license plate just a short distance from his L.A. home -- when cops noticed the smell of alcohol and arrested him.

He's due back in court later this month.

Hair god Jonathan Antin --a judge on Bravo's hair-styling show "Shear Genius" -- has gotten the chop from his wife ... who just filed for divorce.

TMZ has obtained the divorce papers filed by Jonathan's wife, Sescie Antin -- whom Jonathan married back in 2006.

According to docs, Sescie cites irreconcilable differences for the split.

The couple has 2 children together -- a 5-year-old and a 4-year-old. Sescie has requested joint legal custody -- but she wants primary physical custody, with Jonathan getting visitation rights.

Sescie also claims she and Jonathan have a prenup -- which states that he will cover her mortgage and all home expenses until their youngest child is 21 -years-old.

NEW YORK (AP) — When the retailer Abercrombie & Fitch recently offered to pay "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino to not wear its clothing, Daniel Franzese and Hanna LoPatin recognized the comedic potential in the, er, situation.

They quickly wrote a joke to update their musical "Jersey Shoresical: A Frickin' Rock Opera."

"That was easy to throw in," says LoPatin.

That commitment to keeping "Jersey Shoresical" current and fresh has paid off. The satirical show had a sold-out run recently in Los Angeles and won the ensemble award at the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival. It's also been picked as part of the Fringe's encore series for six more shows in late September.

Even if you haven't seen MTV's "Jersey Shore," which chronicles the carryings-on of a group of hard-partying mostly 20-something Italian-Americans, the musical makes it easy to understand.

There's a glossary in the show's program of words and phrases often used by the cast like "grenade" (an unattractive girl) or "GTL" (the practice of going to the gym, tanning and doing laundry.)

Franzese and LoPatin not only created and co-wrote "Jersey Shoresical" but co-star as tumultuous couple Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola.

On stage they perform an emotional duet about their love/hate relationship, which has been a major focus of the TV series.

"They're just an amazing couple," laughs LoPatin. "They just can't stay away from each other and then they're toxic when they're together."

"Their passion lends itself to old operatic themes," adds Franzese, who wears a muscle suit for the show. "It was too tempting not to indulge."

Other highlights include:

— Karen Diconcetto, who plays Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, sings about how she wants "a gorilla juicehead to love me forever" while holding a gigantic jar of pickles.

— Max Crumm, who plays Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, holds a framed photo of himself and belts out a love song, whose lyrics include, "If my reflection could show affection" and ends with "I'm in love with me."

— Most surprisingly, a male (complete with streaked hair, blinged-out jean shorts and a push-up bra) has been cast to play Jenni "J-Woww" Farley.

"She's so glitzy, she's so out there, she's so tough, that it just seemed she had the right amount of masculine energy and female energy to be a drag queen," explains Franzese.

For the most part, the plot of the musical won't change but its creators say they follow new TV episodes in case something explosive happens that must be added in to keep it current.

LoPatin and Franzese say the show has stirred up buzz in the comedy and theater communities. They'd love to take it to other cities or off-Broadway.

While the two have their issues on stage, behind-the-scenes they're great writing partners. They often had to take breaks while collaborating because they were laughing so hard they couldn't breathe.

"There's a lot of high-fiving that goes on," says LoPatin.

So far the real "Jersey Shore" cast hasn't gone to see the show but LoPatin and Franzese hope they one day attend and get the joke.

"These are people who make fun of themselves for a living. I think they know what they've gotten themselves into," says LoPatin.

"We have an affection for them. We were very sensitive to their feelings, believe it or not," says Franzese.

But LoPatin admits she would like more than just a "Jersey Shore" cast member to see the musical: She'd also want them to take part in it.

"My dream is for one of them to guest star as a grenade."

James Gandolfini is giving it another go with HBO. The actor is set to produce for the network and possibly star in Big Dead Place, according to Deadline.com.

The dramedy series would be based on Nicholas Johnson's memoir of the same name about living in Antarctica. Johnson moved to the frozen continent when he got a job with the United States Antarctic Program, which is devoted to the scientific research of Antarctica. Breaking Bad writer-producer Peter Gould has been brought on to adapt the book for television.

Gandolfini's Attaboy Productions has had a deal with HBO since 2006, but so far no new series have resulted from it.

{alltv} Linda Ellerbee's Nick News remembers 9/11 from the kids' perspective

For those of us who do remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001, it's hard to imagine that anyone wouldn't; but for children who were too young to understand what happened that day, there's Nick News' longtime voice of reason, Linda Ellerbee.

In Thursday night's Nick News special, "What Happened? The Story of September 11," Ellerbee attempts to cut through the "media noise" and clarify the story for children. Ellerbee omitted some of the more graphic images and details, and suggested that kids grab a trusted adult before tuning in.

Though the special was obviously intended for young viewers, the first-hand accounts of people who were children in 2001 and now are older teenagers or young adults gave an interesting perspective on the day.

We particularly appreciated the inclusion of Jamie Jones, a young man who was seven years old that day and a member of the class that President George W. Bush so famously read to on that fateful morning.

"The president, he just sat there, and his face just went dead," Jamie said of the moment when Bush was informed of the tragedy. "He had a blank stare.

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011

CBS scored a ratings win Thursday thanks to "Big Brother," but its numbers and those of ABC, FOX and NBC are all inflated thanks to coverage of NFL preseason games in local markets.

The numbers might change, but the order of finish probably won't. As it stands now, CBS led the night with 8.6 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households. ABC grabbed second with 5.9 million viewers and a 3.9/6, beating out FOX (5.25 million, 3.5/6). NBC (4.8 million, 3.2/5) took fourth. The CW drew 1.1 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating. ABC and NBC tied for second at 1.6, while FOX delivered a 1.4. The CW trailed at 0.4.

Actress Paz De La Huerta is playing up her bad girl reputation with a new advertising campaign teaching women "how to strategically flash" their underwear.

The Boardwalk Empire star can be seen showing off ruffled pink lingerie under a black jacket as she steps out of a car in Agent Provocateur's latest promotion.

The lingerie company's creative director Sarah Shotton tells Women's Wear Daily, "We always try and choose girls that are true Agent Provocateurs, and she definitely is AP through and through.

"She's got an amazing body and she's naturally very, very sexy. We wanted (the campaign) to be a little more riskier (sic) in a way. I thought, 'Why don't we do a campaign that celebrates that you're wearing Agent Provocateur... a guide to how to strategically flash your lingerie?'"

De La Huerta is no stranger to controversy. She was photographed accidentally exposing a breast after she was banned from a Golden Globes party in January. Two months later, she was arrested after becoming embroiled in a bar brawl.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "''Dancing With the Stars" executive producer Conrad Green says despite controversy over the casting of its first transgender contestant, "Dancing" remains a family show and viewers should check out the new season before passing judgment.

Chaz Bono, who was born female but underwent surgery to become a man, is among the cast of 12 celebrities set to appear on the ABC hit when it premieres later this month — a decision that's drawn ire from some "Dancing" fans and conservative media groups.

Dan Gainor of the Culture and Media Institute calls Bono's casting "a ridiculous, agenda-driven move by 'Dancing With the Stars.'"

"This is the latest example of the networks trying to push a sexual agenda on American families," he said Thursday.

The organization is not calling for a boycott of the show, but online group OneMillionMoms.com is. It says on its website that the casting of Bono and openly-gay reality star Carson Kressley "is completely unacceptable and Christians should not watch the show, no excuses!"

Besides Bono and Kressley, the new cast includes basketball star Ron Artest; World Cup soccer player Hope Solo; reality stars Robert Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari; TV personalities Nancy Grace and Ricki Lake; singer-actress Chynna Phillips; actors David Arquette and J.R. Martinez; and Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, who may be better known in the United States for being George Clooney's ex-girlfriend.

Green says the show has no agenda other than entertainment and always seeks to represent a range of people.

"I think we've had three gay or transgender contestants out of about 120 on the show, so what we're really doing is reflecting some of the makeup of this vast array of people that make up American society," he said in an interview Thursday.

The show remains family friendly, he said, adding that he has young children of his own.

"We're not going to be dwelling on Chaz's sexuality any more than we dwell on anyone's sexuality on the show," he said. "We're not going to be going into things that are going to make it difficult for you to watch with your children at all."

Bono wasn't cast to stir controversy, but because he's "a great guy and he's got a really interesting story," Green said. "He comes from Hollywood royalty as a family and is familiar to loads of our audience throughout his life."

Bono is the only child of Cher and Sonny Bono.

Cher has taken to Twitter this week to blast the "stupid bigots" who she says have "viciously attacked" her son since the "Dancing" cast was announced on Monday. She praised his courage for appearing on the show and wrote: "bet VAST MAJORITY of People will LOVE CHAZ on DWTS !"

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation praised the network and "Dancing" producers for casting Bono. Spokeswoman Sharda Sekaran said that despite some negative response, his appearance on the show may help foster better understanding about transgender people.

"This community faces a lot of misunderstanding, fear and hatred, and all too often, violence," she said. "But these are people just like anybody else, who are part of everyday things as normal as entertaining audiences on a dancing show.

"Even with the negative reaction, it gives people exposure and access to the story of a real-life transgender person."

Bono said on his Twitter page Thursday that he is "overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I received from everyone."

"I don't listen to the haters, but embrace the love," he wrote.

Green said Bono's casting and the resulting conversation has boosted awareness of the show, but he hopes dancing supplants controversy when the show premieres on Sept. 19: "I hope that a lot of the people who appear to be upset at the moment will give him a chance and maybe realize it's not quite as bad as they think."

NEW YORK – September 1, 2011 – NBC Sports will again feature five-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist Faith Hill performing the opening theme for NBC "Sunday Night Football," "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night."

Hill's "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" debuts this season on Sunday, Sept. 11, the first "Sunday Night Football" broadcast of 2011 featuring the New York Jets hosting the Dallas Cowboys.

The opening theme will continue weekly, kicking off "Sunday Night Football" throughout the NFL season on NBC.

"I wait all year for Sunday Night," said Faith Hill. "Somehow the season wouldn't feel the same without seeing everyone from NBC/ Sunday Night Football over the summer (when we record and film the open). It makes it feel like the wait for the season is somehow shorter."

"Faith Hill has become a staple of Sunday Night Football," said Fred Gaudelli, "NBC Sunday Night Football" producer. "And in year five she's better than ever."

Hill has sold 30 million records worldwide and topped the charts with 13 No. 1 singles and 20 No. 1 videos throughout her 18-year career. Her last three studio album releases, 1999's BREATHE, 2002's CRY and 2005's FIREFLIES all debuted consecutively at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Pop Album Chart and Country Chart, making her the only female artist ever to accomplish this feat.

"Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" is set to the original Joan Jett song, "I Hate Myself for Loving You." She recorded the track with her longtime producer Byron Gallimore and the video was shot in Los Angeles.

Hill is currently in the studio recording what will be her first release of new music in six years.

Showtime has renewed The Big C for a third season, the network announced Thursday.

Season 2 of the show, which stars Laura Linney as a cancer-stricken women trying to find the lighter side of dealing with the disease and co-stars Oliver Platt and Gabourey Sidibe, has been averaging fewer than 1 million viewers.

The third season is expected to go into production on 10 new episodes early next year. The Season 2 finale airs Monday, Sept. 26.

{alltv} 'Cougar Town,' 'HIMYM' producers join forces for CBS comedy

The 2011-12 TV season doesn't start for another couple of weeks, but pilot deals for the following season are already being cut.

The latest one involves two veteran producers -- Bill Lawrence ("Cougar Town," "Scrubs," "Spin City") and Greg Malins ("Better With You," "How I Met Your Mother," "Friends") -- teaming up for a comedy at CBS. The network has committed to producing a pilot, Deadline reports.

As for what CBS will get, we don't know. Malins and Lawrence are saying only that it's a multi-camera workplace comedy. They'll co-write the script and executive produce with Jeff Ingold, the head of Lawrence's production company, Doozer.

It's the first pilot deal for Lawrence since he set up shop at Warner Bros. TV after a long stint at ABC Studios. Malins is also based at WB.

Both have other things to keep them occupied while they're putting the CBS project together: Lawrence is working on Season 3 of "Cougar Town," which will debut on ABC later in the season, while Malins is a consulting producer on CBS' new comedy "2 Broke Girls."

{alltv} 'The Walking Dead' gets super-sized season 2 premiere; AMC announces two new shows

Fans of "The Walking Dead" will get a satisfying dose of zombie action when the show returns for its second season on Oct. 16. On Thursday (Sept. 1), AMC announced that the show will kick off with a 90-minute premiere episode to get us up to speed on the progress of its zombie-pocalypse smash hit.

The show's first season, too, opened with an expanded episode, but ran for only six episodes. This season, we'll be treated to 13 glorious weeks of zombie-fueled drama.

Despite the exit of show creator Frank Darabont in July, the AMC ratings frontrunner is filming in Georgia and, based on early leakage to the blogosphere, is on track to deliver another season of must-watch episodes.

AMC also announced the addition of two new shows to its line-up:

The unscripted series "Secret Stash" -- set in Kevin Smith's comic book shop, Jay and Silent Bob''s Secret Stash, promises to "capture the world of the neighborhood comic book store and fanboy culture." We love it, but we're going to go ahead and predict this as appealing to a niche market. The show is set to debut in February 2012.

"JJK Security" will be centered on a small, family run security business and is (a la "Walking Dead") set in Georgia. AMC describes it as a "Southern gothic workplace dramedy." So "The Office" meets "True Blood"? Expect to see it air in summer 2012.

Former American Idol judge Simon Cowell has ruled out the idea of having children because he lacks the time and patience to bring up a baby with his hectic lifestyle.

The star, who is engaged to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy, admits he has always wanted to become a father, but as a 51-year-old music and reality TV mogul, he isn't convinced he'd be a good dad.

He tells GQ magazine, "Truthfully, with the schedule, the crazy hours, I don't think it would work... With the way I live my life, I wouldn't have the patience. I'd sort of want people born at the age of 10."

As great news circulated from one Who's the Boss star's corner, word on Twitter and Facebook was that Danza had met his untimely demise this morning by falling off a cliff in New Zealand.

Wait, why does that sound so familiar?

Danza—who, by the way, is alive and well and probably a little bemused—is one in a disturbingly long line of celebs to go plunging off a New Zealand cliff, according to the hoax-happy Global Associated Press!

The 60-year-old actor joins an illustrious group of the not-deceased that includes Jeff Goldbum, Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, Hilary Duff, Dwayne Johnson and Taylor Lautner. Jackie Chan also keeps getting killed off for some reason.

For the record, all of those stars are still kickin'. Johnson almost literally after he got word that he was freakin' dead. (Apparently, if all of Hollywood jumped off a cliff, he would not.)

Charlie Sheen, too, has since been resuscitated after his warlockian antics put him down briefly on various social media sites.

In the season premiere of House, the doctor behind bars has a new gig...and it involves pushing a garbage cart around. Fancy! Fortunately, he runs into hot doc (new castmember Odette Annable) while she's trying to do some diagnosing. And nobody runs differential better than Gregory House (Hugh Laurie).

Seagal just released a statement saying, "I've been called a lot of things in my career, some of them not so kind. But to be labeled an animal abuser is beyond the pale and that is simply a role I will not accept."

TMZ broke the story ... Jesus Llovera has taken legal action against Seagal over the March incident -- alleging the actor crashed a tank into his property ... and someone involved in the raid shot his 11-month old puppy. Llovera was suspected of running a cockfighting farm on his property ... allegations which he has denied.

But in his new statement, Seagal does not address any of the other allegations that Llovera made against the actor -- that Seagal and the cops wrongly destroyed his home and property.

Still, Seagal says he's considering filing a lawsuit against Llovera for "fabricating the puppy killing" -- and he's already contacted legal pit bull Marty Singer.

One of the masterminds of "Saturday Night Live's" digital shorts will be staying "Up All Night" this fall.

Jorma Taccone, one-third of the Lonely Island comedy team (along with Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer) that produces the digital shorts, will guest-star in an upcoming episode of NBC's new comedy, creator Emily Spivey tells Zap2it. He'll be playing an old boyfriend of Maya Rudolph's character.

"You're going to see flashbacks of them from the '90s," Spivey tells us. "They have a little song together and everything, and a music video."

"Up All Night" centers on new parents Reagan (Christina Applegate) and Chris (Will Arnett), who are trying to raise their baby while still keeping the trappings of their old life. Rudolph plays Ava, the host of a talk show Reagan produces.

Taccone is the second "Saturday Night Live" veteran Spivey (herself an ex-"SNL" writer) has recruited to guest-star on "Up All Night." Will Forte will also appear as a guy who's a little more at ease with his stay-at-home dad status than Chris is.

"Up All Night" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 14 on NBC. Taccone's appearance will likely come sometime in October.

Sources say the "Entourage" star has closed a deal on a 6,000-square-foot Hudson Street penthouse that once belonged to former Mets slugger Mike Piazza. The duplex, housed in the same building as Jon Stewart's palatial pad, was listed by Prudential Douglas Elliman for $6.2 million. Piven's new digs -- bizarrely referred to in a listing as "muscular & voluminous!!" -- has three baths and 1,800 square feet of outdoor space. Reps for Piven, who has been looking to buy a downtown pad for a while, didn't get back to us.

"Big Brother" got a ratings bump Wednesday and helped lead CBS to the top of the heap in the adults 18-49 demographic. The "America's Got Talent" results show, meanwhile, was down from last week but still grabbed the most total viewers.

NBC led the night overall with 6.9 million viewers and a 4.4 rating/7 share in households. CBS (6.4 million, 4.0/7) wasn't far behind in second. ABC (4.4 million, 2.9/5) took third. FOX finished fourth with 3.2 million viewers and a 2.1/3, while The CW drew a little over 1 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

CBS led among adults 18-49 with a 2.0 rating, beating out NBC's 1.7. ABC came in third in the demo with a 1.5, followed by FOX, 1.0, and The CW, 0.4.

The actress, 38, and husband David Bugliari welcomed a baby boy, Milo Thomas Bugliari, on Wednesday. Later that day, the actress took to Twitter to share her joy over her new baby.

"Thank you for all the well wishes for my son Milo," Milano Tweeted. "My heart has tripled in size. I love him more than all the leaves on all the trees."

This is the first child for Milano and Hollywood agent Bugliari, who wed in 2009.

These are the dog days for Azita Ghanizada's character on Alphas.

"Oh, I'm Scooby-Doo," said Ghanizada, with comedic incredulity. "I am legitimately Scooby-Doo.

"But it's pretty cool. Who gets to say they were Scooby-Doo? Not a lot of people."

Ghanizada's character actually is named Rachel, not Scooby-Doo. But the subject of Scooby-Doo came up because of Rachel's, um, abilities and deployment on Alphas.

The Toronto-shot Alphas originates on Syfy in the United States and currently is airing its first season on Space in Canada (the next new episode on both sides of the border is scheduled for Sept. 12).

The series, which features Academy Award-nominated actor David Strathairn in the lead role, focuses on a group of people with superhuman abilities, known as Alphas, as they attempt to prevent other Alphas from committing crimes.

Rachel's Alpha ability is super-senses. That's why she often gets treated like a damn tracking dog.

"Oh, I know, poor Rachel," Ghanizada said with a big laugh. "She never catches a break, she always gets played, she always has to smell everything.

"The thing is, I really like that I get to play this oddity. In my real life I'm a confident person, and to be somebody who is so opposite to that, so unique and different, it makes me proud that I can do it and accomplish it.

"And it's kind of cool to behave like a bloodhound, and super-see, and tap into those extreme senses and play with that physically. You have to make it real somehow, because who really can do that?"

In terms of the camera lens, though, there is a down-side to playing someone with super-senses.

"They literally have shot every angle of my face in extreme closeup," Ghanizada said. "It's always, 'Here's the smell-o-vision shot.' It's sometimes devastating to watch on camera.

"You try not to be vain, but after a while I was like, 'Can you guys please be nice to me?' Rachel gets beat up, kidnapped, and then they shoot my nostril in a wide camera angle.

"When does Rachel get to be pretty? Never!"

Ghanizada was born in Afghanistan and came to the United States with her refugee family when she was very young. She said the experience made her a precocious youth, but also achingly aware of people's prejudices.

"As a young person I stood up for my parents a lot, I spoke English for them a lot," Ghanizada recalled. "It made me very aware of how the world can be cruel, and that made me see the world not in a peaceful, joyful, childlike way. It made me grow up very fast.

"But it also made me a smart, outspoken young person. I wanted to learn more and I wanted to understand the world and other people. I'm fascinated by people's stories.

"Maybe that's why I like to tell stories as an actor. It's why I always was going to be an actor, no matter who told me no. It definitely shaped me into who I am today, and I'm OK with that."

Hey, if Azita Ghanizada is self-assured enough to accept the unflattering closeup camera shots that come with being the Scooby-Doo of Alphas, then obviously everything has turned out OK.

"There's no hiding from the camera for Rachel, no disappearing," Ghanizada said. "At least I have pretty ears, thank goodness for that."

Are Canadians more aggressive walkers than drivers?

That's the opinion of Azita Ghanizada, who plays Rachel in the Toronto-shot series Alphas.

Ghanizada, who was born in Afghanistan and grew up in the United States, was on the phone from Los Angeles when she mentioned she was in her car, parked on a side-street.

"I'm not going to drive while I'm talking to you, because everybody in L.A. drives like an a------," Ghanizada said. "And I was just in Canada (taping Alphas) for four months, not driving, so I'm being super-conscientious."

But there also are plenty of a------ drivers in Canada, aren't there?

"No, it's the pedestrians in Canada!" Ghanizada said. "They just kind of run right out into the street, right?

"I was like, 'What's wrong with these people?' Just out of nowhere, it's really funny. That's you guys (Canadians). They just keep on going. They don't care."

So you're saying Canadian pedestrians just aren't scared enough of moving vehicles?

"No, you're not," Ghanizada said with a chuckle. "You're not scared at all."

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Damon Lindelof, Marc Maron, Jason Sudeikis and JB Smoove have signed on for the seventh annual New York Television Festival, the event announced Wednesday.

Lindelof, the co-creator of "Lost," will deliver the keynote for the festival, which will run from September 20-24.

Its opening night will feature a red-carpet premiere of FOX's new animated comedy "Allen Gregory," as well as the world premiere of comedian Marc Maron's indie pilot, based on his "WTF" podcast. The first episode stars Maron, Ken Jeong, and Ed Asner. NBC's new drama "Prime Suspect" will screen on Wednesday, September 21.

The festival will also include a late-night writers panel, hosted by "Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis, and NBC Universal's "Short Cuts" diversity showcase, hosted by comedian and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star JB Smoove.

It will also include debut readings of original sitcoms from the U.K., hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. It will include immediate feedback from "Everybody Loves Raymond" creator Phil Rosenthal.

Finally, the festival will feature free screenings of the 48 official selections in the NYTVF's Independent Pilot Competition; the fourth annual Digital Day presented by MSN; ION-sponsored Development Day Events; and the NYTVF Awards.

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Could "The Five" have a permanent place in Fox News 5 p.m. hour?

The show, a summer replacement for "Glenn Beck," is down only slightly in viewers, despite a lack of marquee names. In August, its first full month on the air, it averaged 1.5 million viewers, with 369,000 in 25-54 demographic, according to Nielsen.

In Beck's last full month, June, he scored 1.6 million viewers, 387,000 of them in the demographic.

"The Five" is down 6 percent overall and 5 percent among 25- to 54-year-olds

While Beck's show was intensely focused on his personality, theories and issues, "The Five" features a rotating cast of Fox News personalities talking about the day's events.

The show has earned more viewers at 5 p.m. than its two cable news rivals combined: CNN's "The Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer" averages 711,000 total viewers and 173,000 in the demographic, while "Hardball With Chris Matthews" averages 685,000 viewers and 157,000 in the demographic. Beck also handily beat his 5 p.m. rivals.

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - "Boardwalk Empire" will return September 25 with an insurrection, an arrest, and a terrifying visit from the Ku Klux Klan, HBO announced on Wednesday.

The Season 2 premiere, titled "21," will find Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), Atlantic City's man behind the curtain, contending with trouble in his inner circle. Chalky White, meanwhile, suffers a life-threatening attack from the Klan, and Margaret Schroeder, Nucky's on-again off-again squeeze, contends with her son's disciplinary problems. It airs at 9 p.m.

In its statement about the premiere date, HBO also dropped some hints about the threats to Nucky's empire on several fronts, from law enforcement to rival criminals:

"Nucky finds his hold on Atlantic City weakened, first by state agents who arrest him for election fraud and ransack his office, then by members of his own inner circle and even his family, who align with Jimmy's father, the aging Commodore Louis Kaestner, in an attempt to oust him altogether," HBO's statement reads. "Meanwhile, mobsters like Arnold Rothstein, Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky and Al Capone wait in the wings, looking for the chance to grab a bigger piece of Nucky's pie."

Sounds like someone could use a drink.

"Supernatural" is adding a new bad guy to the mix for at least one episode this season, which is interesting enough in and of itself. But it's who the new character associates with that really has us curious.

According to EW, James Patrick Stuart -- who played AnnaLynne McCord's dad on the first season of "90210" -- is set to play an evildoer named Richard Roman in the season's sixth episode. "Supernatural" executive producer Sera Gamble describes the character as "a very canny, charming, well-connected new adversary."

Here's the kicker, again from Gamble via EW: "Crowley has sought him out specifically to join forces with him to pursue common interests. Put it this way: Crowley doesn't bring a muffin basket to just anyone."

Yep, Crowley, as in Mark Sheppard, who previously would only confirm that he'd be in the season premiere. (There's a brief glimpse of him in the teaser The CW released last week.) We're curious to see what kind of guy makes Crowley that interested (and if he actually brings a muffin basket).

Stuart, who's also had recurring parts on "CSI" and "The Closer," is only slated for one episode of "Supernatural" at the moment. But based on what Gamble has said about Richard, we wouldn't be surprised if he made a return appearance later in the season.

"Supernatural" premieres Friday, Sept. 23.

Reasons to be excited for the Sept. 19 Season 7 premiere of "How I Met Your Mother" are many -- and not just because the veteran comedy marks its return with a full-hour of new programming.

CBS recently released the first promo for the premiere, "The Best Man," and it seems likely to deliver on all the promises of sexy dancing and nuptial backdrops as the photos we recently caught. It also poses two big questions...

#1: Who will get married? Calm down. We're going to have to go with the absentee Punchy (Chris Romanski), whose wedding seems to be setting for all the non-flash-forward events.

#2: Who will hook up? Really. Could they? Robin (Cobie Smulders) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) are looking awfully comfortable out there on the dance floor, but with the gang now on a crash course with his own wedding, we expect the show to tread at least a little lightly around a possible Brobin reunion so soon in the season.

One burning question we can answer already, however, is that there will definitely be at least one "Lion King" reference. Watch and enjoy.

If you frequent an off-track betting facility that takes wagers on the outcome of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," please tell us where that is... and you might want to pay close attention to the these numbers.

Oddsmakers at Bodog.com, who successfully favored Season 12 victor NFL wide receiver Hines Ward early in the competition, has released its stats on the recently announced Season 13 cast. The favorites might catch you a bit off guard, but the long-shots only seem to validate our suspicions.

The least likely seem to be Chaz Bono, the series' first transgender contestant, and TV judge Nancy Grace, who have been placed at 20/1 and 18/1, respectively.

Up at the top, there's model, actress and George Clooney ex Elisabetta Canalis with 3/1, followed closely by former "Queer Eye" star Carson Kressley (4/1) and "Hills" alum Kristin Cavallari (5/1). [Editor's note: That trio would surely make for the most bizarre finale in "DWTS" history.]

These odds, released Tuesday (Aug. 30), might stand a little tweaking after Wendesday's announcement of the pro pairings. Returning cast member Derek Hough, who sat out last season after winning his third mirrorball trophy, doesn't seem likely to let partner Ricki Lake go as soon she's predicted to leave.

And Canalis might have an uphill battle working with newcomer Val Chmerkovskiy. Audiences aren't terribly familiar with either of them -- though can you imagine what Maks would do if his little brother won the title before him?

{alltv} Will President Obama's Address Pre-Empt GOP Debate?

President Barack Obama has asked to address Congress on his promised jobs program on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m., the same time as a scheduled Republican debate among presidential hopefuls. And House Speaker John Boehner has refused.

"It is coincidental," said White House press secretary Jay Carney at a press briefing Wednesday. "There are a lot of factors that go into scheduling a joint session of Congress for a speech. You can never find a perfect time ... There are many channels, there are many opportunities for people to watch the president, and obviously for people to watch the debate."

The debate (to be co-moderated by Brian Williams on MSNBC) isn't the only thing the president is encroaching on. CBS plans to air a new episode of Big Brother, NBC has a new Minute to Win It, and Fox has its new series Buried Treasure.

Politico and others reported that Boehner, an Ohio Republican, rejected Obama's request, saying the next day would be better "so that we can ensure there will be no parliamentary or logistical impediments that might detract from your remarks."

What really might detract from the president's remarks, though, is that the next day has the annual Thursday prime-time opener for NBC's Sunday Night Football — the highest-rated program on broadcast television in the 2010-11 season's first half.

Forest Whitaker, most recently seen in front of the camera on CBS' short-lived spin-off Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, is back behind the scenes for his next TV project.

TNT is developing the drama project H.I.K.E. with Whitaker's Spirit Dance Entertainment production company. But Whitaker is not only an executive producer on it, he's also co-writing the drama along with Amanda Green (Law & Order: SVU). Marc Levin is a consulting producer.

H.I.K.E., which stands for "Home Invasion Kidnapping Enforcement," will follow tough female cop Maggie Tarrant as she runs a Phoenix-based law enforcement team while simultaneously juggling her home life as a wife and mother.

Whitaker has been busy in recent years splitting his time between acting and producing. He was also an executive producer on Sundance Channel's Brick City.

Istanbul - (August 31, 2011) - The Walt Disney Company Turkey today announced plans for a local production of the iconic hit series "Desperate Housewives," bringing a new take on the series' darkly comedic view of suburbia to Turkish audiences. The series, to be known as "Umutsuz Ev Kadinlari," will be co-produced by Medyapim and Disney, and is to air on free to air channel Kanal D later this year.

The original "Desperate Housewives" won both the 2005 and 2006 Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy, and was created by Marc Cherry and produced by ABC Studios. The series is broadcast in more than 200 territories around the world, where it has been one of the most popular U.S. TV shows in recent history. The ABC Television Network recently announced that this upcoming season - its eighth - will be the final one for the original series.

Since 2006, four different versions have been produced for Latin American audiences. These are "Amas de Casa Desesperadas," the Argentinean version (in Spanish, for broadcast in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay); the Colombian/Ecuadorian version (in Spanish, broadcast in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, and also sold to Japan); the U.S. Hispanic version (for broadcast in U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic); and "Donas de Casa Desesperadas," the Brazilian version (in Portuguese, for broadcast in Brazil).

The series will be filmed on location in Istanbul, where a local "Wisteria Lane" has been found. Not that Cher had any advance warning. Bono said he had to keep the secret until last weekend because, as he tells it, "ABC put the fear of God into me."

The pairs were announced on Wednesday and Bono, the show's first transgender contestant, will be dancing with Lacey Schwimmer.

"We kind of instantly hit it off," Bono says of his partner. "She has a great attitude for teaching me."

The season finale of Sweet Home Alabama airs Thursday (Sept. 1) at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Sweet Home Alabama star Devin Grissom has made her final choice, yet she's staying tight-lipped about who it is.

"At this point, we're not allowed to be seen together or talk to each other very much," Grissom tells CMT Insider. "It's going to be interesting to see how it progresses once everything can be revealed, but I definitely feel like I found something special."

The remaining finalists are Adam Moyer, a horse trainer from Tennessee, and Tribble Reese, a former quarterback who is a bartender and entrepreneur in Birmingham, Ala.

Because the series began with 20 men -- 10 from the city and 10 from the country -- that means Grissom has broken a few hearts along the way.

"A breakup is hard no matter what," she says. "Even if it's two people sitting alone in a room, it's tough. It's hard to break up with someone. I felt for these guys. They're getting broken up with on national television. That makes it even harder for me, too, especially when some of the guys would come back and be like, 'Please give me second chance!' I was like, 'Oh, that makes me hurt.'"

However, Grissom adds, "I definitely got good at it by the end. But it didn't make it any easier. It was definitely still hard, but on some of the other dating shows like this, you give them a token. And the ones that don't get it, it's just like, 'Sayonara, see you later.' I think that's definitely something unique about this show. It's a lot more personal and really is a lot more real. I have real relationships with these guys, so I had to end them in a real, respectable way."

Grissom only spent time with the men on dates or in group scenes and rarely saw them at all when the cameras weren't rolling. Thus, she only began to discern the heated rivalries between her suitors when the series began airing. Most of the internal drama between the men takes place in the Fairhope, Ala., house where they all lived together.

"This process is such an unconventional way of dating," she says, "so it amplifies everything. You're getting into these relationships, and they're progressing so much faster than any normal relationships would. You're under such different circumstances if you're dating two guys at once. You don't want them to talk to each other. You don't want them to know they're dating the same girl. But all of mine were living in the same house together."

Grissom says it was difficult to send home the first few contestants because she didn't know them very well. But as the show progressed, the men's personalities began to shine through.

"I love seeing how they are just being themselves," she says. "I definitely formed relationships with all of them. Obviously, some of them are stronger than others. Some I formed were just friendships, but they're still great friendships. I talk to pretty much every single one of these guys still."

Looking back, she concludes, "Toward the end it got really hard for me. I'm not typically an emotional person, and on the [final] decision, I got teary. I cried, for sure. It was tough. There were definitely real relationships there."

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The effort to hunt down and kill Osama bin Laden will be featured in a two-hour television program, including interviews with President Barack Obama and senior counter-terrorism officials, the History channel said on Wednesday.

"Targeting Bin Laden" will be broadcast on September 6, and use dramatic reenactments and news footage to look at the behind-the-scenes work over several administrations to find the al Qaeda leader.

History said the pogram marked the first time that senior officials in the White House situation room had spoken at length on television about the bin Laden operation.

National Security advisor Tom Donilon, former CIA director Michael Vincent Hayden, and White House Chief Counter-Terrorism advisor John O. Brennan were among those who have been interviewed for the program.

Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the September11 2001 attacks on New York and Washington D.C, was killed by U.S. special forces in Pakistan on May 1.

Obama spoke in a "60 Minutes" TV interview in May about the bin Laden operation, but the upcoming History program is one of the first in-depth TV treatments of the effort to capture him.

Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow is also working on a feature film about the hunt for the al Qaeda leader for release in late 2012.

NEW YORK (AP) — Before joining NBC's "The Voice," Adam Levine says some folks assumed he was some "singing bimbo that likes girls." So he's grateful to the show for providing a bit of clarification on his image.

"It was a nice opportunity to show my personality — that I have a brain," said the lead singer of Maroon 5. "It's also true: I am a bimbo and I like to sing and I like girls, but there's more to my personality; it's a little more dynamic than that, and I like to show that on the show. It's cool."

The singing competition — which also features Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton as music coaches — was a hit in its first season. The four coaches chose teams of eight after an audition process that allowed them only to hear the contestant's voice, but not to see them. Once teams were whittled down to one contestant for each coach, Levine's mentee — the crooner Javier Colon — was crowned the winner.

"The Voice" helped showcase the playful and sillier side of the heavily-inked Levine. Band keyboardist Jesse Carmichael says Levine's presence on the show "was so positive for him definitely as a person, but for us as a band, too."

Now, the group is taking advantage of the buzz: They recently released "Moves Like Jagger," which features "Voice" co-star Aguilera, and it has reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It also hit No. 1 on the European and Canadian charts.

The dance song is a departure for the pop-rockers, and they say they're rushing to get a new album out this fall. In the past, the group released an album every three or four years.

"We're going to make it as quickly as we can (and) ride this wave of momentum," Levine said in an interview last week.

"That's too long," he explained about past breaks between records. "We can't do that anymore. We've got to keep moving."

The Grammy-winning group's 2002 debut, "Songs About Jane," sold 4.7 million units and they followed that with another multiplatinum-seller, 2006's "It Won't Be Soon Before Long." Last fall, they dropped their third album, the gold-selling "Hands All Over," which was re-released to feature "Jagger."

On Maroon 5's upcoming album, the group says they want to take a new direction. "Jagger" was produced Benny Blanco and Shellback, hitmakers for acts like Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Britney Spears.

"We can definitely stand to take more risks," Levine said. "It's awesome to have that little feeling in your stomach like, 'Oh, this isn't safe, this isn't normal for us' ... (and) if you don't do that, I think you're dead a as band."

The second season of "The Voice" premieres after the Super Bowl on Feb. 5.

NEW YORK (AP) — An ABC special with never-before-heard interviews with Jacqueline Kennedy will air Sept. 13.

Viewers will hear the former first lady speak with historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. about life in the White House and with her husband, President John F. Kennedy. The recordings were made months after the president's 1963 assassination and sealed until now.

Originally planned for one hour, the special will now fill two hours in prime time and feature Diane Sawyer's interview with the couple's daughter, Caroline Kennedy.

The ABC special is timed to coincide with the publication of a book about the interviews. The release is also timed to the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy administration.

Jackie Kennedy later married Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. She died in 1994 at age 64.

{alltv} Charlie Sheen Winning After Warner Bros. Denied Gag Order Request

Wait, Charlie Sheen may actually, really, be #winning.

Not the crazy torpedo tour, goddess keeping or warlock talk winning, but real-life big-money lawsuit battle winning.

As if Sheen's war with Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros. weren't public enough, now an arbitrator overseeing the case has denied the studio a request for a gag order in the court case, per the Hollywood Reporter.

So what exactly does this all mean?

It means we're probably going to be hearing lots of crazy talk from the Vatican warlock assassin as this case unfolds. Both Sheen and Warner Bros. (whoever wants to publicly go up against the nutter) are free to discuss the case with the media while it's being settled.

The press still isn't invited to attend arbitration hearings, and they can't view confidential details that are "sensitive and proprietary," like medical and financial records, but we're sure we'll be getting a mouthful of updates on the case from Sheen that will be pretty juicy.

Back in June, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that the case would be disputed privately and would not be headed to a public trial. Sheen had wanted the trial to be public. Lawyers for Warner Bros. and Lorre argued no way to a court battle because Sheen had turned on them so publicly.

Currently, both sides are beginning depositions and getting their cases in order. Sheen claims he was fired because Lorre had a personal beef with him and his public rants against him and the way he ran the show. Warner Bros. says Sheen was unable to perform his acting duties on the show because he was, ya know, acting crazy.

All in all, this is a small win for Sheen, who with an upcoming Comedy Central Roast starring him on the table, is now free to rant all he wants about the case and Lorre.

Sarah Jessica Parker learned that lesson the hard way while making the promotional rounds in Moscow this week, when a cheeky fan (who was also reportedly acting as a bodyguard for the star) tried to leave with a souvenir that she wasn't quite ready to give.

Namely, a kiss.

The fan encounter went down outside the city's Bolshoi Theatre, and took place while SJP, fresh off of making a press appearance for I Don't Know How She Does It, stood to pose with bodyguard Oleg Donstov and a group of fans.

Perhaps sensing a once in a lifetime Kodak moment, Donstov—clearly a fan, as just moments before he stood still while Parker signed his chest—waited until everyone had posed and the photo was about to be taken before making his move, slickly puckering up in an oversize attempt to plant one on the A-lister.

Her response? A schoolgirl squeal if ever we heard one. For her part, Parker managed to laughingly wriggle out of the faux embrace, honor intact. (So stand down, Matthew Broderick!)

So he didn't get the kiss, but he got a pretty game kiss-off. We'd say that the best he could've hoped for in this situation.

As for Donstov, he was quoted in Scotland's Daily Record saying that his fanboy moment, amusingly caught on tape, may cost him his job. Of course, that post script comes from the same paper which claimed that Donstov ripped open his shirt and practically assaulted the star, leaving her screaming in terror, which is clearly not the case. So…grain of salt, and all that.

Well, that didn't take long ...

Yes, minutes after T.I. was released from prison, the rapper began shooting a post-prison reality show for VH1 ... TMZ has learned.

According to VH1, the show will follow T.I. as he "re-adjusts to life as a free man after being incarcerated for nearly a year in a Federal prison in Arkansas."

The show -- which has yet to be given a title -- promises that viewers will get an up-close and personal look as T.I. is "reunited with his wife and kids and thrust back into society at this crucial juncture in his life."

VH1 issued a press release about the show ... which posed the question, "Can the King stay on the straight and narrow while juggling the chaos of his kingdom?"

If he doesn't, T.I. could go back to prison for a long time -- but OH, THE RATINGS ... right?

"America's Got Talent" was down a little from its performance last week, but the show still led NBC to a ratings win Tuesday night, beating out a fairly solid night of repeats on CBS.

NBC drew 8.8 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households in primetime. CBS was not far behind with 8.3 million viewers and a 5.7/9. ABC (4.4 million, 2.7/4) came in third. FOX took fourth with 2.4 million viewers and a 1.6/3, while The CW (647,000, 0.5/1) was well off the pace.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC's 2.4 rating was a point better than the 1.4 for ABC and CBS, which tied for second. FOX managed only a 0.8 with its repeat lineup. The CW drew a 0.2.

{alltv} 'Glee's' Jane Lynch: Season 3 about what's next for the kids

Jane Lynch confirms what has widely been said about the coming season of "Glee": It will focus largely on the core characters and what the future holds for them -- both related to and beyond this year's show choir competitions.

She also admits that the guest star-heavy, tribute episode-studded second season was a bit of a roller coaster.

"We had a great season last year, but we did kind of go all over the place with guest stars," Lynch said during a conference call about her job as host of the Emmys (more on that here). "[We] had a lot of fun with that. [This season] we're kind of honing in on the stories of these kids, especially in light of the fact that several of them will be graduating at the end of the year."

The world after high school will weigh on seniors Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer), Lynch says, and that will motivate them as much as getting back to nationals with New Directions.

"We're seeing where they go with their intimate relationships and with graduation looming ahead," she says. "It's not just about working for ... sectionals, regionals, nationals. It's kind of about what these kids are going to be doing with their lives. So it's pretty interesting, but a lot of fun.

Lynch also says she "hasn't seen any evidence" as to whether one of "The Glee Project's" winners will become Sue's nemesis, as reported earlier this summer. There's still plenty of time for that, though, as she says the show has only shot three episodes so far.

Season 3 of "Glee" premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 on FOX.

Lifetime is counting on making you cry again.

From directors Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Alicia Keys, Penelope Spheeris and Patty Jenkins comes Five, which combines five separate-yet-interconnected tales of lives affected by cancer, each one named after the central female in each segment.

And good lord, did these ladies go all out with the tears, the heartbreaking glances, the tender moments, the life lessons, and...the stellar cast!

Jeanne Tripplehorn's cancer-stricken oncologist is the common thread running through all five tales, the one who calmly yet sympathetically has to deliver far more bad news than good to her patients, among them Patricia Clarkson and Rosario Dawson.

Josh Holloway, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lyndsy Fonseca, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tony Shalhoub, Annie Potts, Taylor Kinney, Bob Newhart, Kathy Najimy, Jeffrey Tambor and Jenifer Lewis fill out the ensemble.

The movie, which premieres Oct. 10 on Lifetime, marks Aniston, Moore and Keys' feature directing debuts.

"We were intrigued by the challenge of creating short stories that would defy audiences' expectation of the subject," Aniston, who helmed the segment titled "Mia," told Glamour. (Moore directed "Charlotte," Keys made "Lili," Spheeris presided over "Cheyenne" and Jenkins over "Pearl.") "We wanted to balance the drama with humor and irreverence because that's what's helped our friends who've faced this get through their treatment."

Well, Lifetime didn't want to balance the trailer with humor and irreverence, but we'll take Jen's word for it that it's in there and tune in for the whole package.

{alltv} Teen Mom Recap: "I'm Excited to Have One of My Stable Parents Around Again"

Another new parent is coming to town! Well, new to us, anyway.

"I'm just excited to have one of my stable parents around again," exclaims Catelynn Lowell, referring to her dad, Dave, who she actually hasn't seen in four years. He's flying up to Michigan from Florida for a job opportunity and is going to spend the weekend at Catelynn and Tyler's new digs.

So, by stable, she apparently means that there's no recent evidence that Dave's a nutter.

"It's kind of surreal that he's even here," Catelynn remarks to Tyler as he registers for classes and continues being the "good kid" that Dave, upon meeting his daughter's baby daddy for the first time, proclaims him to be.

But hey, we aren't quibbling with an obvious high point for Catelynn, who has had plenty of trouble with her own mom and Tyler's dad, enough to appreciate a parent who, if not around much, at least hasn't begrudged her decisions right and left.

"I'm trying to learn from my mistakes, and you can call me anytime and I'll talk through the night," Dave says over dinner.

Tyler says that he tried to get a hold of Dave to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage but couldn't track him down.

"If she loves you and believes in you, then I do," his future father-in-law told him. "I'd be proud to have you as my son-in-law."

Dave also throws his support behind the couple when it comes to Carly. "As much as I would love to have her in my life, she's better off where she is," he acknowledges about the adoption.

Farrah Abraham, in the meantime, still thinks it's a wise idea to pick up and move with Sophia away from her family. Arizona is her desired destination in tonight's ep, and she drags her parents, Debra and Michael, to Scottsdale—where they inexplicably tour a neighborhood full of grand, gated homes.

"This is becoming a huge waste of time," Farrah notes later.

Elsewhere in America, Maci Bookout is still dragging her feet on whether to sign up for classes, this time complaining that she'll "lose even more time with Bentley" if she's in school all day. (Because apparently she's unaware that having to work one or two unskilled jobs at a time to make ends meet will take her away from her son, too.)

"Don't look at it as something you hate and don't want to do," mom Sharon reminded her. "Look at it as something that you've got to do to do anything else."

Kyle, too, had promised Maci that all she had to do was register, and he'd make sure she got there.

Come on, girl, sign up for classes! Bentley will thank you for it one day! (The good news is, all this worry about being too busy for her little boy has made her realize how crazy life would be if she had another baby.)

Then there's Amber Portwood, who's missing daughter Leah, dating Clinton and getting five dozen roses from baby daddy Gary Shirley, who tells his brother that he doesn't think he and Amber belong together right now, but that he wishes they were together.

At least Amber's not too stubborn to turn down Gary's invite to help finish decorating the Christmas tree—even though Amber wouldn't have known what they were up to if she hadn't called to check in.

Amber and Gary still have all sorts of issues (see: 911 calls, rehab, domestic abuse charges). But the look on Leah's face when mommy plugs in the lights on the tree...It almost makes the whole crazy thing seem worthwhile.

{alltv} Emmys 2011: What Jane Lynch WON'T be doing as host

Jane Lynch is reluctant to talk about what she will be doing as host of the Emmys, largely because the show is still a work in progress. But she does offer up some information on what she won't be doing.

"I probably won't wear a tracksuit," Lynch says, referring to the preferred attire of her "Glee" character, Sue Sylvester. (She has previously said that if she did anything in character as Sue, it would be only for brief bit.)

That's good news for anyone who might be worried about the Emmys turning into an extended "Glee" skit. So what else is off the table? "I probably won't do an elaborate dance number," Lynch said during a conference call Tuesday (Aug. 30). "And I hope you won't be bored."

To the last point, Lynch says she's working with the show's writers (including old friend Jill Soloway, a writer and producer on "United States of Tara" and "Six Feet Under") to hone the comedy bits while also "serving the purpose of the evening."

"It's about the awards and the people getting awards," she says. "It's about entertaining in between, but we have to remember it's a night of celebration of this industry. That's what we remind ourselves of at the start of every meeting we have. My job as host is to move it along, and kind of [give] that background energy of ... 'Look what we're celebrating.'"

Lynch says she and Soloway were working on a pre-taped piece this week, likely for the show's opening. She also hopes to involve her "Glee" castmates in another taped piece, but while she "would bet there will be an appearance," nothing is final yet.

The 63rd annual Primetime Emmys air live at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT Sunday, Sept. 18 on FOX.

{alltv} 'Pretty Little Liars': After the finale, more N.A.T. members, a time jump and two new characters (at least!)

The summer finale of "Pretty Little Liars" seemingly answered a lot of questions. Now Zap2it can finally reveal the juicy tidbits about the second half of Season 2 that executive producer Marlene King dished to us.

First of all, don't expect the second half of the season to pick up right where the first half left off, like in Season 1.

"After the finale, we jump in time to one month later and there's a huge fallout for all the PLLs and for all of their relationships because of what happens in the finale," King tells us.

And in this time jump, we can expect to see some new faces in Rosewood.

"We're introducing a new character that we find out went to the blind school with Jenna Cavanaugh. A young male character. And there's a new character coming into Aria's world as well, so two new guys," says King. "So far that's it, but you know, for us there probably will be more."

However, some of the old faces will still be wreaking havoc on the lives of the PLLs. Melissa will be coming back into Spencer's life and Kate won't be leaving Hanna's anytime soon, despite the fact that Isabel and Tom did not get married.

"We're going to see Melissa more toward the end of the second half," says King. "She's in Philadelphia playing the part of the grieving widow, but she's going to come back into our world halfway through the second half."

"Kate is going to be a new arch-nemesis for Hanna," King continues. "She's going to play a very prominent role in Hanna's life in the back 12 episodes."

But the biggest bombshell we found out about the second half of Season 2 is that the N.A.T. club turns out to be bigger than we thought.

"You will find out in the next half of the season that there is one more, possibly two more members of the N.A.T. club. Members or mascots, you'll have to wait 'til you see the episodes," teases King.

So does this mean that "A" is actually more than one person?

"That is definitely a plausible theory," says King.

What do you think, "Pretty Little Liars" fans? We can hardly wait 'til 2012. At least we have the Halloween prequel episode to tide us over.

{alltv} 'Parks and Recreation' bosses talk Patricia Clarkson, Ron's breakout status and ... ballet

When people are creating fake ice-cream flavors in your honor and using your likeness to sell pork products, it's safe to say that you've got some fans.

So it goes with Ron Swanson, who, as played by Nick Offerman, has achieved cult-hero status on "Parks and Recreation." Despite fans' embrace of Ron's mustache, love of meat and general manliness, though, co-creator Mike Schur says he's never felt pressure from NBC to make the show more Ron-centric.

"With Ron or any other character, they've never once said to me, 'Go more in that direction. Do more of this and less of that,'" Schur tells Zap2it. "... They love Ron like we do, and they love [all the characters on 'Parks and Rec']. ... In the early going, maybe Tom [Aziz Ansari] was breaking out, because Aziz is such a spark plug and has so much charisma, but they never said to chase that, to make it the Aziz show. Now with Ron they're not saying make it the Ron show. They just don't operate like that."

Swanson Nation will, however, get to see several Ron-centric stories in the early part of the 2011-12 season, including the introduction of Patricia Clarkson as his first wife, Tammy (not to be confused with his second wife Tammy, played by Offerman's real-life spouse, Megan Mullally).

"We've been incredibly fortunate with the selection of ladies that have graced our stage," Offerman says. "I think what the audience will be surprised to learn is that Tammy 2, played by the gorgeous Megan Mullally, may turn out to be the most kitten-like, timid woman of the Tammys. I am about as giggly as a schoolgirl to be in a position where I'm portraying a man who's made love to both Megan Mullally and Patricia Clarkson. That is a consummation devoutly to be wished."

Clarkson will appear in the season's second episode. Schur won't say too much about Tammy 1, but he does allow that she's "very different from Tammy 2."

"The relationship she has with Ron is not as hedonistic, animal attraction, pure and simple, that we've seen before," Schur says. "They have a much different, more complicated, rich backstory that we get into. The point of casting Patricia Clarkson was to let her be Patricia Clarkson, and I think we accomplished that."

The "Parks and Rec" writers have incorporated a few of Offerman's real-life skills into the show, including his woodworking and skill on the saxophone (that was really him playing in the Duke Silver episode from Season 2). But Offerman is still holding out for one more thing.

"I have a penchant for the ballet," he says, "and I've been pitching the fellas the whole time we've been in production for a Ron 'Swan Lake' episode. I haven't heard of anything coming down the pike just yet."

"I know you can dance the black swan," Schur replies, "but can you dance the white swan?" Offerman: "Just give me a chance, and I'll show you."

Fingers crossed.

"Parks and Recreation" begins its fourth season on NBC Thursday, Sept. 22.

"I've never really seen Kristin dance," her Hills pal and former DWTSer Audrina Patridge admitted to us earlier today while promoting Bremenn's Research Labs' End of Summer Skin Care Day. "But I'm sure she's going to have a good time and I'll be cheering for her, that's for sure...She can count on my votes."

Cavallari hit up Patridge last week for advice.

"She was like, 'How did you like it? It's going to be fun, right?'" Patridge said. "I was like, 'Yeah! You're going to have a blast! It's going to be a lot of fun. It does get pretty intense but it's the best experience you'll ever have. It's amazing.'"

Try telling her that as she's being torn apart by show judge Len Goodman on national television.

{alltv} Stephen King's "Under the Dome" heading to series

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Showtime, Stephen King, Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks TV are working together to develop a series based on King's bestselling novel, "Under the Dome," TheWrap has confirmed.

DreamWorks TV optioned the book, about a Maine town mysteriously trapped under a dome that cuts it off from the outside world, soon after its 2009 release.

Dreamworks' other upcoming projects include Fox's "Terra Nova," debuting next month, and NBC's "Smash" and ABC's "The River," both debuting midseason. It also had a summer hit with the Spielberg executive-produced "Falling Skies" on TNT.

Showtime confirmed the project is in development after it was first reported by Deadline and Variety.

{alltv} Dick Ebersol rejoining NBC Sports as senior advisor

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Dick Ebersol's exit from NBC may turn out to be more of an extended vacation.

The NBC Sports veteran will return to the network as a senior advisor, just three months after stepping down as its chairman, the New York Times reported Tuesday.

NBC Sports did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Ebersol will be involved with both the Olympics and "Sunday Night Football," both of which he negotiated to bring to NBC, the Times said. He was expected to serve in an advisory role for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The news came on the same day NBC announced that "Today" executive producer Jim Bell would executive produce its coverage of the Olympics. Ebersol hired Bell to help cover the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.

Ebersol decided to leave his home of more than twenty years after contract negotiations broke down with the network's new parent company, Comcast, a senior network executive told TheWrap.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The emergency call made by the friend who found the body of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" husband Russell Armstrong was released on Tuesday, as reports emerged that cast members had filmed a new segment about the suicide for the TV show.

The 911 call obtained by celebrity website TMZ.com revealed that Armstrong's estranged wife Taylor and their 5-year-old daughter Kennedy were both in the house when the body of the venture capitalist was found hanging by an electrical cord two weeks ago.

Taylor Armstrong, who had filed for divorce in July, can be heard sobbing and the caller tells her to keep Kennedy out of the room.

Armstrong committed suicide just three weeks before the September 5 second season premiere of the TV reality show.

Cable channel Bravo has been re-editing the reality TV series, which looks at the lives of wealthy and pampered women in Beverly Hills, because the upcoming season was originally expected to feature the crumbling Armstrong marriage.

Sources close to the show told Reuters on Tuesday that the other "Housewives" got together this week to film a segment in which they discuss the tragedy. But it is not a special or stand-alone episode and Bravo has not yet decided when to broadcast it.

Taylor Armstrong did not take part in the filming.

The second season had been set to premiere on September 5. Bravo has yet to announce how it plans to proceed with the new season of the popular franchise given Armstrong's suicide and the media attention it has attracted.

{alltv} Adam Levine Continues to Blast MTV: "Just Fed Up With the Whole Thing"

Adam Levine has never been one to hold back.

Whether he's modeling in the buff, blasting American Idol or slamming MTV, The Voice pro is comfortable speaking his mind.

And today he talked to E! News about his ongoing beef with MTV and a whole lot more...

Before the MTV VMAs aired on Sunday, the Maroon 5 frontman took to Twitter to diss the network for what he sees as a lack of comitment to music. He wrote, "F--k you, VMAs."

Levine tells E! News that most of his fellow musicians think the same, "They just don't say it.

"It's public knowledge that it's not a music channel," he said, adding that there are some upsides, just not enough. "It's become a huge promotional opportunity for artists, which is a good thing. I think that great artists were there and they were represented and there could have been more."

Levine says that as a kid he "worshipped" the yearly show and just doesn't have the same feeling about what it has morphed into.

"I remember when I was a kid I worshipped the VMAs," he said. "I'd see these incredible moments where the whole world sat still to watch the VMAs and year 'round they'd play music—Nirvana, Pearl Jam, bands I loved. There were a lot of memorable moments and not only that, it was music television. It was a celebratory day that represented what the channel stood for," he said. "It's sad. It's like seeing Tower Records in L.A. as a clothing store. I was just fed up with the whole thing. It is what it is. It was a very off-the-cuff statement that I definitely stood by."

Was his band invited this year?

"I don't even know if we were invited," he told us. "I know we weren't invited to perform. People thought it's because we weren't nominated, that has nothing to do with it. We haven't been nominated in years and that's fine."

Levine also told us he's been speaking to his buddy and fellow musician Gavin DeGraw and continues to check in on him regularly. DeGraw had been forced to scrap shows as the opening act for Maroon 5 earlier this month after he was beaten up on a New York City street and then hit by a cab, landing in the hospital.

"We're happy he's OK and he looks great and sounds great and he's made such a great 100 percent recovery," Levine said.

And while the "Misery" singer may be mad at MTV, he certainly has his heart in the right place when it comes to the rest of the planet.

His band just donated $250,000 to Feeding America, a hunger relief charity that feeds people in need across the country. The rockers even donned goggles and lab coats and got busy creating their own Snapple flavor for the charity called "Tea Will be Loved."

"It was fun , it was really cool," Levine said of the experience. "Some flavors we made tasted like s--t, some tasted amazing. The whole thing was a fun, charitable idea."

The flavor, on shelves tomorrow, is already getting some attention. All the proceeds from the tea will go to Feeding America.

We're guessing it's not called M-Tea-V.

David Arquette has already demonstrated that he enjoys consulting Howard Stern whenever he comes to a crossroads in life. And his decision to do Dancing With the Stars was no exception!

"One of my first calls when I was considering it was to Howard," the actor told Sirius-XM's Howard 100 News today. "I asked him, 'What do you think?' They asked me last season too, and he said, 'I think it would be a good opportunity for people to get to know you better,' and that was one of my deciding factors."

And Arquette is hoping that the teamwork doesn't end there.

"I want him to be my backstage coach," he said, "to just help me out if he has any pointers, if he thinks I should focus on something, or what I'm doing wrong and sort of be part of the whole competition."

Stern, who's a big-time DWTS fan but has balked at wife Beth Ostrosky Stern joining the show because of all the time she would have to spend away from him, has proved to be one of Arquette's more stalwart supporters and we look forward to hearing what he has to say when he and his morning-show crew return from vacation.

The shock jock isn't the only opinionated person whom Arquette sought out, however.

Arquette also told E! News' Ryan Seacrest today that he asked daughter Coco what she thought of daddy doing Dancing With the Stars.

"And she said, 'Initially, my feeling is no, but let me go to school and talk it over with my friend Ashley,'" he said, laughing. "I said, 'Wait, you can't talk about it with Ashley, it's a pretty big secret.'"

But apparently Coco came around (and maybe even Ashley approved) and now Arquette's just really excited to be a part of DWTS.

"I love dancing, I've always loved dancing, and it's something that is such a...positive way of having a good time," said the separated Scream star. "That was a major part of it, an opportunity for people to get to know me without preconceived notions about who I am."

"I haven't thought too far along that line," Arquette said, when asked who the toughest competition appeared to be so far. "But I definitely want to win, you know. I'm a competitive person, but I just love the people that are on the show and I look forward to getting to know them better."

And if he has to get spray-tanned, so be it.

"I want to sparkle! I love glistening!" Arquette exclaimed. But "I don't want to get too orange."

Working moms, Sarah Michelle Gellar would like to tip her hat to you all. And once you have Buffy's support, there is no cooler stamp of approval.

SMG is a working mom herself, and when she spilled to Entertainment Weekly for the magazine's cover story (out now), our E! News cameras were there to capture the magic. Gellar talked about the heartache, reward and stress that goes into juggling career and family, plus great tidbits on her much-anticipated return to TV with the CW thriller Ringer…

"It's been difficult," Gellar admitted to EW editor Jess Cagle. "My hat goes off to any working parent. It is the hardest to juggle. I know my job is by no means the hardest in the world, but to any parents, again, it is so difficult because you're trying to focus so hard but you're always wondering, What's my child doing? Are they OK? Did they eat their lunch? Did they eat their vegetables? Did they take their nap? It's how to separate both of them."

Speaking of separating things, SMG may be a seasoned television pro, but even the concept of playing twin sisters (one is impersonating the other), makes her head spin. "We joke that I actually play five characters," she said. "I play Bridget in the past, I play Siobhan in the past, I play Bridget in the present and Siobhan in the present and I play 'Shiovette,' who is Bridget pretending to be Siobhan. So it's very confusing."

Um, yeah. We're supposed to be TV experts and even we have a hard time wrapping our mind around that. Thankfully, Gellar is easily confused, too. "I get confused about almost anything," she laughed. "Every so often I might find myself in a top from one character and in the pants of another character and think, Wait, wrong scene. But once you get into the scene, you realize pretty quickly who you are. And it was actually kind of funny because a lot of the castmembers hadn't done a scene with present-day Siobhan, and we just did the first one yesterday and people were like, 'Oh it's so weird, we haven't met Siobhan yet.'"

And after months of filming, SMG has really grown to love all five of her characters, and she even gets protective over them. "I don't look at them as good and bad. I look at them as them being in two different places in their lives," she said. "Had you met them eight years ago, you would call Bridget the bad twin and Siobhan the good twin. Circumstances have made it what it is, and I think that is what is so interesting about the duality of anybody. Bridget is living her life trying to redeem for all the mistakes that she has made and all the people she has hurt, and Siobhan is motivated by revenge for all the wrongs that were done to her. And they were pretty bad! I can't tell you, but I can hint."

But her most important role lately is mother, and after so many years in the business, Gellar has definitely learned her fair share of lessons.

"I think that that is the hardest thing about what we do is the hours. They are very long, but I will say that this experience is incredibly different," she revealed. "You learn a lot from your first time. Don't do a show with vampires, at night, with stunts. There is only so much available night, and it's outside and it's cold. You want to play rich people, so we are playing rich people indoors. So we get done by 8 o'clock at night, much more civil."

Love and marriage has done Ed O'Neill well over the years.

The sitcom star received the 2,446th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, and both his current wife and the spouse who was by his side for 10 years turned out to honor him in front of an adoring crowd.

Oh, and we mean his wives from Modern Family and Married... With Children, obviously.

"When I was in Colombia and I was a young, very beautiful girl, I would watch Married... With Children, with Ed with his hand in his pants, talking with this very sexy Antonio Banderas accent—because in Colombia it was dubbed into Spanish," joked Sofia Vergara, who plays the 65-year-old's awfully hot, young wife on Modern Family.

"So he talked perfect Spanish, and there I was sitting, and I would never in a million years think that I was going to grow up to marry Al Bundy," she continued. "Never, even if somebody had paid me to believe that...But to marry Al Bundy has been one of the most joyful things in my whole life."

It was O'Neill's first TV wife who kicked off the proceedings, however.

"I want to tell Eddie, he's one lucky mo-fo," offered Katey Sagal, who played the insufferable and long-suffering Peg Bundy. "Here he's got these two beautiful women that he's had in his life, hopefully this one as long as he's had me," she added, gesturing toward Vergara. "And I'm sure he will."

Then it was the man of the hour's turn to speak.

"As I'm standing here, it's a bit emotional," O'Neill began, "I can't help thinking that somewhere in the world, at this moment in a hospital, a beautiful little baby girl is being born. And when she grows up she's going to be my next wife on TV, and I look forward to that day."

But, more seriously, he added, "This is overwhelming. I want to thank the fans for being here. No fans, no show, no career."

The bus driver who accused Matthew Fox of assaulting her in Cleveland says the incident left her beaten and shaken.

"It was all tears," Heather Bormann, 29, told Cleveland.com on Monday of the alleged assault that she says left her bruised on her arms, leg, thighs and chest. "He really scared the crap out of me."

Around 1:30 a.m., Fox, who was in the area filming I, Alex Cross, allegedly tried to get on a charter bus Bormann was driving for a private party but was refused entry.

"He smelled like a liquor cabinet – like a bar," Bormann recalls. "I told him, 'Sorry buddy, this is a private party. You have to get off my vehicle.' I told him three times. He never said a word. He just looked at me."

The former Lost star began "swinging" at Bormann when she denied him entry, she says, and he continued to attack her until she fought back by punching him in the mouth.

According to Bormann, Fox then stumbled backward into a fence, wiped the blood from his mouth and attacked her again. Hitting him in the back of the head to protect herself, Bormann says her hand is now bandaged, swollen and cut. Bormann says she plans on pressing charges.

A rep for the Cleveland police department confirmed on Monday that the actor was detained but not arrested.

Fox's rep has not commented.

Because of the NBA lockout, Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest knew he needed something to occupy his time.

Making the decision to do Dancing with the Stars was a no-brainer, Artest told PEOPLE at Monday night's live, season 13 DWTS cast announcement in L.A.

"At first it was not appealing," Artest confesses. "I did not want to do it. I don't dance and all of the dressing up and everything, but my daughter Diamond was like, Daddy, you should do it."

Proud father Artest, 31, admittedly is a sucker for his 8-year-old daughter, who battled cancer when she was 4.

"I had a chance to play basketball overseas and I had a chance to do Dancing with the Stars," Artest says. "She asked me to do it, and I thought I could dance and raise some money for cancer research. I'm going to donate the profits."

Despite the fact that he might not play basketball this year, Artest says he is grateful for the opportunity to show what he can do on the ballroom's shiny hardwood floors once Dancing's new season kicks off Monday, Sept. 19, on ABC

"I have a lot of entertaining things to come," he says.

And if the NBA lockout is resolved while he's still on the show? "I'll cross that bridge when it comes."

Ron Moore is turning in his viper helmet for a cowboy hat. The Battlestar Galactica producer has sold a western pilot to ABC, Deadline.com reports.

Hangtown, from Moore and Caprica writer Matt Roberts, is described as a western with procedural elements, featuring a marshal who solves crimes by instinct, a doctor who uses emerging forensics and a woman who writes about crime.

ABC won Hangtown in a bidding war with NBC, which failed to pick up Moore's fantasy procedural 17th Precinct for the upcoming season.

The season premiere of "House" in October will feature a former child star in a rather grown-up role.

Jaleel White, who's nearly 35 now but will probably be forever known as Steve Urkel from "Family Matters," will guest-star in the Season 8 premiere, a FOX rep confirms to Zap2it. (White's casting was first noted by TVLine.)

His role? Prison inmate. "House" begins its season about a year after the events that ended last season, with House (Hugh Laurie) doing some time in prison. White's character will also be doing time and will presumably cross paths with the doctor.

(Bonus Jaleel White casting news: He is also set to reprise a guest role on "Psych" in the fall, TV Guide reports.)

Post-"Family Matters," White starred in the sitcom "Grown-Ups" and guested on "The Game" and "Boston Legal." He also starred in and executive produced a web series called "Fake It Till You Make It," which aired on Hulu last year.

Dancing With the Stars" aims for provocative casts, and Chaz Bono's joining the show has already yielded strong reaction — some of it ugly.

Bono, the only child of Sonny Bono and Cher, was born a woman but legally changed his gender and name last year. The announcement Monday that he would join the highly rated ABC dance competition immediately made him one of the highest-profile transgendered people in the world.

It also brought to the surface prejudices about Bono and others who have changed their gender, judging from the "Dancing With the Stars" message board. In hundreds of comments, Bono was the most common subject.

"HUGE HUGE fan of this show since season two and eagerly await each season to get my dancing/entertainment 'fix'!! But when I heard that Chaz Bono was going to be on, I was sick. Not that I have anything personally again her/him, I just don't want that lifestyle choice continually flaunted in the media esp ABC," went one typical anti-Bono comment.

But for everyone who vented disgust — or questioned whether Bono would dance with a man or woman — there were many who defended Bono and accused his critics of bigotry.

Bono's casting is only the latest to make a lighthearted reality show the impetus for deeper discussions about values, tolerance, bigotry and politics. Gay "American Idol" contestants have opted not to announce their sexuality, perhaps out of concern about alienating intolerant viewers. And Bristol Palin's "Dancing" casting two seasons ago led many to vote for or against her based on her mother's politics.

If Americans quickly vote Bono off the show — or keep him on despite a middling performance, as they did with Palin — it could reveal plenty about attitudes toward transgendered people.

ABC said Bono was in rehearsals for the show and unavailable to comment. The network, meanwhile, had no immediate comment Tuesday on the comments posted by "Dancing" fans on its message board.

Among the other comments:

"Chaz Bono How low can this show sink. Well you have certainly addressed the gay community. Guess this will not be a family show any longer!!!! Lost my family!"

"YOUR choice to bring Chaz Bono into the mix goes too far. I am not about to risk the potential for on screen dialogue about sex changes and gender confusion while my 7 and 9 year old are watching. If you want the "anything goes" hippy culture, then soon that is all you will get. You've lost us. In case any of you are wondering ... no, we are NOT tolerant. We are not tolerant to allow any and all influences to come unfiltered into our home and especially to our children. This is truly a sad farewell."

Some of the objections were flat-out confusing — one person seemed to suggest Bono had to be paired with a woman — because he was still a woman: "Chaz will have to dance with one of the girls because she/he says she/he is a man but chromesomes say different no matter how many surgeries you have.

The show has historically paired men and women regardless of sexuality. The openly gay Lance Bass was paired with Lacey Schwimmer.

Transgendered people believe that their gender identity does not correspond to the one into which they were physically born. Many seek surgery or hormones to change their physical gender. In an interview with ABC News in May, Bono explained:

"It's actually pretty simple if you look at it. ... We all in the womb start out as female and then hormones come and we either stay female or we become male. I think of it as hormones that, you know, went in the brain but not in the body, and that's all being transgender is. It's just that the sex of your body and the gender of the brain don't match up."

Many criticisms of Bono had nothing to do with gender — some complained that he is overweight and only famous because of his parents. Those two criticisms have faced many, many contestants before him.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Five asylum-seekers who are due to be expelled from the Netherlands will compete in a Dutch television quiz show this week with the chance to win 4,000 euros ($5,773) for their knowledge of all things Dutch.

Their expertise on Dutch geography, history, politics, art, and language among other things is unlikely to be of much use once they have left the Netherlands, but the editor behind the show says he wants to make a serious point about immigration policy and give the winner money for his or her new life.

The Netherlands was long regarded as among the more generous countries in welcoming asylum-seekers and immigrants but that has changed over the past decade, reflecting voter concerns over the large number of Muslim immigrants.

Geert Wilders, who heads the anti-Islam, anti-immigration Freedom Party, is the ruling coalition's key ally in parliament and has used that influence to push for tougher immigration policies.

"This program is about the children of asylum-seekers who have lost out in the asylum process. Children who have sometimes been in the Netherlands longer than eight years," said Frank Wiering, editor-in-chief of Dutch broadcaster VPRO.

"It is harrowing that these people have to leave. We've made a quiz with these people and you can laugh about it but the subject is not funny," Wiering told Reuters.

The one-off quiz show is called "Away from the Netherlands" -- although the title also translates as "Crazy about the Netherlands" -- and will feature five contestants between the ages of 15 and 22 who have spent much of their lives in the country and now face expulsion.

Public and political criticism has grown this year over the expulsion of young asylum seekers, many of whom have spent most of their lives in the Netherlands.

The outcry prompted Immigration Minister Gerd Leers to grant residence permits to a 14-year old Afghan girl and her family.

In several Dutch towns, residents and local politicians have asked the minister to grant permits to asylum-seekers with children, but without much success so far.

Wiering said there were about 15,000 children, often part of families, seeking asylum in the Netherlands: of those, 2,000 have been in the country for more than eight years.

And he said that rather than expel them, the Netherlands should take advantage of their appetite to learn, to integrate, and prosper.

"I think we should not be afraid of the new energy that is coming from abroad. We already have hundreds of years experience with this," Wiering said.

He said the show, whose trailer showed a cheering audience, and a presenter with two female assistants dressed as police or immigration officers, was not a hoax and the candidates were not actors.

The Netherlands has earned a reputation as a breeding ground for new TV formats, bringing the reality show "Big Brother" to the world in 1999.

In 2007, Dutch broadcaster BNN aired a "donor show" where an allegedly terminally ill woman would donate her kidney to one of three candidates with a kidney problem.

At the end of the show, the presenter announced that the woman was an actress and that the show was a hoax, with the aim of shocking people into the realization that the country lacked enough donors.

Introduced by the show's producers, Reuters spoke to 18-year old Mathu, who declined to give his surname for privacy reasons, and who said he was one of the show's contestants.

Speaking in near-flawless Dutch, he said he had lived in the Netherlands since he was seven years old after his parents left Sri Lanka for their safety.

"After 11 years in a country you deserve a normal life. I want to get my driver's license just like anyone else. I hope that every child that comes here after me and has to stay here this long and speaks Dutch well gets a chance. The procedures should be much quicker," Mathu said.

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - History Channel has tapped a pair of grizzled veteran character actors for its upcoming mini-series "The Hatfields and McCoys."

"Platoon" star Tom Berenger and "Deadwood" villain Powers Boothe will join the project as members of the Hatfield clan.

In addition, Oscar-nominee Mare Winningham ("Georgia") will play the McCoy family matriarch, the network announced.

Stars Bill Paxton and Kevin Costner were previously announced.

Set in the 19th Century, the mini-series focuses on the famous land feud that erupted between two families living along the border of Kentucky and West Virginia.

The film will reunite Costner with Kevin Reynolds, who directed the star in the hit "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" and the notorious bomb "Waterworld."

Sony Pictures Television will distribute the film. Thinkfactory Media will produce it.

The MTV VMAs were quite the show last night, and our own Kim Kardashian seemed to be enjoying herself.

We saw Kim looking beautiful as always while presenting an award, and even caught her singing along to some of the performances.

But wait a minute! Where was Kris Humphries?!

Could work already cause the newlyweds to drift apart?

Hardly!

The duo, who just came back to the states on Friday after a super romantic honeymoon in Europe (but that wasn't the "big" one, you guys, just a mini trip), are doing perfectly fine.

A rep tells E! News that Mr. Kardashian did not make it to the VMAs because he was in Minnesota packing for his move to New York for a few months.

Indeed, Kris and Kim, along with Kourtney Kardashian and her two men, Scott Disick and little Mason, all arrived in NYC today to start shooting the second season of E!'s Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

See! And you guys were getting all worried.

{alltv} 'Dancing With the Stars': David Arquette seeking 'joy and happiness' from ABC show's 13th season

David Arquette sums up his new "Dancing With the Stars" role simply and understandably: "I'm nervous."

The co-star of the "Scream" movies will face such competitors as talk-show veterans Nancy Grace and Ricki Lake, Chaz Bono, celebrity stylist and fashion designer Carson Kressley, reality-show alum Kristin Cavallari, singer-actress Chynna Phillips and athletes Ron Artest and Hope Solo when the ABC competition starts its 13th round Monday, Sept. 19.

"It's exciting, but it's really nerve-wracking and wild," Arquette tells Zap2it in his first interview about his "Dancing" stint. "I don't know what to expect. I love to dance, and that's one of the main reasons I chose to do this. It really is something that I've found a lot of joy and happiness in. That's what I'm looking for in my life in general, so I think it'll help."

Arquette says he was first approached for "Dancing With the Stars" last year, but he allows he "was definitely in a different place," largely because of his then-fresh marital separation from Courteney Cox, his fellow "Scream" star and a television staple ("Friends," "Cougar Town").

"I wasn't ready," Arquette confirms, "but since then, I've done a lot of soul-searching. This seems like it would be a lot of fun. It will give people the opportunity to get to know me a little better, and also to be part of a show that a lot of people love.

"They're such incredible teachers on this show, and it's such a fine, focused period of time that you really have to dedicate yourself to. I knew that if I didn't do it this way, or get a film role where I had to learn dance, I wouldn't do it on my own. It's a really great way to give myself some structure, and that's an added benefit."

In recruiting the new cast, the producers of "Dancing With the Stars" told contestants they could determine their own rehearsal schedules. "You're not supposed to take dance lessons before doing this," Arquette reports, "and I didn't. I just want to make sure I have enough time to learn as everyone else.

"I want to play by the rules, obviously. I figure that if you rehearse early enough in the morning, you still have time in the day to spend with your family or on other projects. I'm developing a theater in Beverly Hills, and that's yet another reason I wanted to learn dance."

Television work has increased in recent years for Arquette, whose movies also have included "Never Been Kissed" and "Ready to Rumble." He was a producer of ABC's "Cougar Town" and FX's "Dirt" with Cox (who also starred in both series), he directed his sister Patricia Arquette in several episodes of "Medium" during its NBC life (and also guest-starred in one of its final-season CBS stories), and he lends his voice to the Disney Channel series "Jake and the Never Land Pirates."

"I love television," Arquette states, crediting that largely to his grandfather: Cliff Arquette, alias "Charley Weaver," the down-home comic who spent years on the classic "The Hollywood Squares" game show. "I still watch a lot of TV today, mainly news, and I understand its power and the reach it has.

"With a show like ['Dancing'], it has the ability to entertain, and that's really where my joy comes from. I'm a little skeptical about the reality-show aspect. I understand the drama they like to harvest from people's lives, but I'm also cognizant that it's a new element of entertainment that's something people enjoy. And I respect that."

Arquette realizes public attention toward him may be particularly intensified while he's on "Dancing With the Stars," however long that lasts.

"I've always wanted to do the right thing," he reflects. "That's also been an Achilles' heel, because I've had to figure out what the right thing is for me. I'm obviously not a goody-two-shoes or any moral compass, but I am a good person who likes good people, and I try not to judge others.

"I try to be open and honest with my life and behavior, and sometimes, that gets me in trouble and allows people to have their opinions about me. As long as I know my truth and I'm honest about it, that's all I really can do."

{alltv} 'Castle' Season 4 promo: Rick takes the news hard

The newest promo for Season 4 of "Castle" uses a lot of the same footage of the last "Castle" promo, but to much different effect.

Where that last one was all about the not-yet-consummated romance between Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic), this one deals more directly with the consequences of Beckett getting shot in last season's finale. There are a couple flashes of things we haven't seen before, including Alexis (Molly Quinn) and Martha (Susan Sullivan) meeting Castle at the hospital, a quick glimpse of new boss Penny Johnson Jerald and some of Beckett's colleagues also not taking the news well.

We're not buying the flatline that runs through the promo -- we've said it before, and we'll say it again: Beckett's not dying -- but the thing that really sticks with us is the voiceover near the end of the 30-second spot: "This is my fault." Maybe not directly, but Castle pushing the investigation into Beckett's mom's death certainly contributed to Beckett taking a bullet. We'll be curious to see how the show deals with that fallout.

Sorry there was no recap last week, I was sick for a couple days and the recapping for several shows did not get done. I did watch "Bachelor Pad" from last week and I just have to say - Kasey, please do not act like you went against Jake for "America." Like you aren't a totally disgusting person too.

And as an aside - sorry for the length of this recap. There is just too much stuff from Melissa, I couldn't stop. It's like the one time I pinch-hit recapped "Rock of Love Bus" - I wrote like a dissertation-length recap because there was so much to make fun of. Anyway.

Jake Kicks Rocks

We pick up with Jake's departure, where he encourages everybody to step up and get rid of the power couples if they want to win. He also says to Vienna, "My heart, forgiven." Kasey snots, "It just shows who the bigger man is." Um, yeah - in this situation, it's Jake. You act like a snotty teenager. And stop saying "kick rocks." It makes me want to throw rocks at you.

The Kissing Contest

Yes! Love it. Kasey and Graham immediately say they are not participating, Vienna calls it "disgusting." Michelle says she's out too. Seriously, people. I understand Kasey/Vienna. If you're attached, especially with your significant other in the house, then I get it. But Vienna doesn't have to get on her high horse about it being disgusting. And we certainly don't need to hear from Michelle Money about her six-year-old daughter.

Um, lady? The HMS Setting-A-Good-Example sailed during Brad's "Bachelor" season.

Conversely, Ella says that while she's not uber-excited, nothing will stop her from winning the money for her son. One could argue that making out for money is just as bad an example to set, but at least she's honest and not a hypocrite.

But then - it looks like Graham is participating. And so is Kasey. Um, what happened to your self-righteousness, guys? Also, Blake says he can't wait to give Holly a tonsillectomy, which might be the grossest thing ever said on a "Bachelor" franchise show and that is saying something. Also, a tonsillectomy removes your tonsils. Rein it in a little, Hanniblake Lector.

Holly is the first girl and of course the guys are weirded out by Michael being there. And he kisses her and grins like an idiot, it's adorable. And all the guys kiss her "like grandmas." Until Blake, who totally sucks face with her in front of Michael - because he's an a**hole. A giant one.

This leads into a montage of Blake tongue-kissing every girl in the house so that he'll win. He is so skeevy. When Vienna comes out, she freaks and everybody just pecks her on the side of the mouth. When Blake walks up, Kasey talking-heads that he better not try anything because Kasey "shoots to kill." With your finger-guns?

It turns out Michelle really did choose not to participate. Huh.

Girls' turn. Ella and Erica are in it to win it, totally sucking face with each guy. But it turns out Erica is a bit sloppy for anybody's taste. Hilariously, Kasey has terrible breath! Ahahaha. Vienna hides her eyes, because she's a 3-year-old. You chose to participate, lady.

Holly and Michael's kiss is nice and he grins again. They are so cute, Blake needs to go away. But then it's Blake's turn and Holly makes out with him hardcore. Ugh, she is making me mad. Stop toying with your ex-fiance, hooch! Also, Crazy Melissa is trying to set you on fire with her eyes, Holly.

Chris Harrison announces that the results were not even close - Ella and Blake won with an overwhelming number of the votes. Blake smarms that his landslide win means a couple girls thought he was a better kisser than their boyfriends. Um, no it doesn't, math major. There are 6 girls left, so both Vienna and Holly could've voted for their men and you would've still won with an "overwhelming" number (4 to 1 to 1). He did win 5 to 1, but that's not the point. Blake sucks, is the point.

Ella's Date

Their prize is a one-on-one date. Ella picks Kirk and they head out in a flashy red mustang, then they get to have dinner in a beautiful mansion, which looks like where Ashley and J.P. had their stay-at-home date after Bentley left. Anyway, Ella and Kirk seem to have fun together, just talking. There's no overt sparkage, but it's nice. They talk about what they want to do with the money. Ella tells Kirk about how her stepfather shot her mother in front of her and her little sister and how she wants to use the money to start an organization for battered women. Kirk talking-heads that he needs the money as much as anybody there, but now he wants to fight for Ella. Aww. Love you, Kirk. Even with your dad's Basement of Taxidermy. Kirk of course gets a rose from Ella. They then get to ride in a hot air balloon and there is some smooching as the music swells. Good for them.

Meanwhile, back at the Manse...

Melunatic is so excited at the prospect of her date with Blake. Oh, little does crazypants know that he will never take her because even though it's bad for his game, Blake is completely ruled by Lil' Blake. Blake talking-heads about his hard choice and bad situation, while I just laugh and laugh. It's your own fault, dude. Did you not see Melissa on her "Bachelor" season? *cuckoo sounds*

And in the bedroom, Erica takes Blake off to give him a massage, saying that he's the smartest guy in the house. Hmm. Erica tells him she was just waiting to get him away from "that crazy girl." This really seems like a frying pan-fire situation for Blake, which I'm not sympathetic to because remember - Blake sucks.

Melissa's Meltdown

The card finally arrives and before Blake can choose, Erica continues in a talking-head her thinly-veiled promises of having sex with Blake in order to get a rose. I would say that she'll be so embarrassed when she sees this, but I don't actually think that's even a little bit true.

So Blake opens the card and then gives a stupid speech about "thinking outside the box" and being "nonlinear" and "shaking things up" and it's like - dude, you are not on a corporate retreat. Everybody can smell what you are shoveling.

And with that he chooses Holly, who hasn't even really been paying attention. She looks surprised, Michael looks a little sad/resigned, Erica looks pissed and then Melissa goes, "That's f***** up" right out loud. HA!

Melissa THEN demands in front of everyone that he explain himself because he made her "800 promises" today and apparently there was a pinky swear involved, which - *sigh.*

Blake stammers and then Melissa runs off with Michelle, as Holly thanks him for inviting her on the date. Melissa cries and cries, and incorrectly uses "throwing me under the bus," which is such a reality show thing to do.

Michelle says anyone with a heart would be reacting the same way Melissa is and Blake took advantage of her and messed with her emotionally. Um, no. Sorry. You're on a trashy reality show. You didn't sleep with him. You kissed him, which is not a binding contract. Stop crying like your husband just slept with your best friend.

Now - if Melissa were just mad about the game play aspect, because they're partners? Fine. But this is crazypants I-thought-kissing-meant-we-were-betrothed stuff. To prove my point, Melissa calls Holly a "slutty-a** b****." Michelle rightly points out that Holly really has very little to do with this. I have my own beef with Holly toying with Michael's emotions, but I don't think Holly owes Melissa diddly.

Blake goes to talk to Melissa and she calls him a "sociopath" and that he's ruined his reputation. Um, hello kettle? This is Melissa. You're black. Also, the reputation comment just cements how stuck-in-junior-high Melunatic is. Where will his reputation be ruined? Bachelor High School? I think Blake sucks too, but I don't actually care that much in real life.

Melunatic then talking-heads that he lied to her, he went back on his pinky swear, something about doing her nails and that she's been carrying him in the game. Yes, because clearly Melissa, you are a power player in this game.

She then starts rallying everybody to vote him out and tries to get Michael to team up with her. Don't do it, Michael! RUN! RUN AWAY FROM CRAZY MELISSA! She trashes Holly to Michael and he obviously kind of balks at that, even if he isn't happy with her going on the date with Blake.

Melissa angrily stirs her yogurt while she slams Blake to some of the girls. She is seriously deranged as she stalks around trying to get people to call Blake out. Um, nobody cares that he smooched you and then realized you're bats*** insane. They probably all sleep with one eye open with you in the house.

Melunatic's next tactic is to try to get Holly to say no to going on the date, but it turns into her attacking Holly's flirting with the boys. Melissa then talking-heads to production about how he should be disqualified for being a (I think she says) s***. Um, if production did that? There would be no "Bachelor" franchise shows.

THEN Melissa goes to talk to Blake and he's brushing his teeth with an electric toothbrush and in a genius bit of editing, she just stands there looking mad while he finishes brushing his teeth - and it lasts for like a minute, then fades to commercial. It's a giant metaphor for their entire relationship. Give these editors an Emmy.

Talk about someone who no guy will never touch ever again (if they ever did in the first place). I have run out of words strong enough to describe Melissa's crazy. "Bachelor Pad" struck gold with this girl, I hope they don't vote her out. I hope they keep her around until she finally snaps and while casually walking by Holly like, punches her in the throat or something.

Blake's Date

The next morning, Blake and Holly take off in a plane for a skiing date. I am totally coveting her knee-high black boots, but thumbs down on the skiing date. I skied once. I mastered the bunny slope, then took on the next-easiest run, which compared to the bunny slope is like the Olympics. I tried one more time on that run, took a wrong turn because I had no control over my body and bumped my way down the moguls. Lodge bunny for this girl!

Anyway, so Holly stinks at skiing and wipes out many, many times. But she keeps laughing about it, which is lovely. She has a great personality, I can see why Michael is still hung up. Blake is smitten, naturally, but c'mon, Holly - NO. He's gross, please stop this flirtation and go back to your wonderful fiance.

Back in the Land of Longing Looks - Michael stares out into the sunset and talks about how devastated he'll be if she falls for Blake and laments he didn't tell her he still loves her before she left on the date. It's kinda funny how he's sitting shirtless by the fire, but I still love him. Team Michael!

After skiing, Holly and Blake drink wine by a fire and he finally broaches the Michael subject. She says the more time she spends with Michael, the more it has changed for her. She also says Michael told her he misses her a lot. But she gets the rose and then Blake offers for them to spend the night there and she says she doesn't want to go back to the house that night.

At a quarter 'til two in the morning, Michael is pretty upset that they aren't back yet. I totally agree. Even if she is moving on with Blake, she doesn't have to rub your face in it. That's pretty cruel.

Back on the date, Blake tells Holly he needs to reevaluate her kissing from the contest, which is such a gross line. But she makes out with him anyway, as the guitar strains of naughty cheating like we're back on a 1994 episode of "90210" kick up.

The Morning After

Sad Michael is sad. Stupid Melissa goes, "Are you upset at all?" and then she talks about how Blake charms women and THEN she goes, "If he got her even a little bit drunk..."

Oh my god, crazy lady! Shut up! What is your childhood trauma?!

Blake and Holly come home and Holly talking-heads she feels guilty about kissing Blake, but it was a great date. Meanwhile, Michael talking-heads that he's realized how he wants to love her for the rest of his life. Aww, man. Geez.

They talk alone and he says he doesn't want to be without her again and he missed her so much and he cries and tells her she's irreplaceable and he's falling back in love with her and he's sorry he left her, but he was afraid and he's not afraid anymore. Hmm. It's really nice. But I can understand why she's hesitant.

She tells him she kissed Blake and Michael's pretty upset, but he keeps saying, "How could you do that to me?," which - she's not your property, plus, as she points out, you said you didn't want to get back together yet and you dumped her in the first place, so stop making her feel like a scarlet woman.

Holly talks to Vienna about it and it's what you'd expect - she's hesitant and scared to trust him again because he broke her heart, which might not be fixable.

Oh the drama! I can't take this, y'all. I want those two crazy kids to work it out!

Rose Ceremony Night

Ella, Kirk and Michael are targeting Vasey. Ella claims she has Melissa and Erica on her side, as Erica talks to Vasey about her vote. She's definitely a wild card. Kasey then works on Kirk and Ella, trying to get them to vote for Will. Kasey's play? "Just know the money is necessary for my grandma to live." Oh. My. God. Is she being held hostage? Everybody needs money, dude. Let's not be so dramatic.

But Kasey starts talking to people around the house, as Will just kind of sits idly by. Yeah, that's not going to get it done, William.

Meanwhile, Michael takes Holly on a picnic and says that he wants to knock Blake's teeth in, but she points out that he had three months to talk to her, but now that there's another guy, he's changing his tune. He tells her he's falling back in love with her, which is hard to say when she's not saying it back. Don't guilt her, dude. You broke up with her. She is under no obligation to say it back until she's ready. They smooch, as Holly talking-heads about how conflicted she is.

In game play, William, Graham and Kirk talk about how Melissa might need to go because she's so crazy. Wouldn't it be funny if Melissa and Kasey got voted out? Vienna would lose her mind.

Melissa starts to get wind of her possibly eviction and starts demanding people tell her things, in her not-at-all-abrasive-creepy-and-intense manner. Seriously, girl. You need help. Please seek help outside this game.

Her meltdown continues, crying and running around and begging for people to vote for Erica. Michael comments that she's "so unaware of the game." "She's so unaware of life," I think is what he meant.

As she stalks up to Kasey and some other guys, Graham mutters, "Oh god, tell this this girl to get away from me." Heh. Kasey lies to her that he's voting for Erica out of fear that she will "cut his nuts off." Smart move.

Rose Ceremony

The roses go to Ella, Blake, Holly, Kirk (already had), Graham, Michelle, Michael, Vienna, Kasey and Erica. So Will and Melissa are out. Will is no loss, he was barely even there. But I'm really going to miss Melunatic.

Michelle cries a lot over Will's departure, which is weird - when did those two get so close? Hmm. I mean, it's fine. I'm just saying - that should've been on camera maybe.

As Melissa leaves, Blake manages not to do a dance of joy. In the limo, Melissa cries and cries, like she just got voted out of her family or something. Which - maybe she's flashing back to that 'cause that would not shock me.

Next week: The Nearlywed Game! And more Blake-Holly grossness. Punch him, Michael. DO IT!

Sources confirm to us exclusively that one of the celebrity coaches from this summer's blockbuster reality hit The Voice has been cast on NBC's addictive drama Parenthood.

So who is it? And what's the role?

Cee Lo Green. Playing...wait for it...Cee Lo Green. How's that for a perfect match!

According to sources, the deal is this close to being finalized, and the "Forget You" star is set to appear in one episode, recording at a new studio now owned by Adam (Peter Krause) and Crosby (Dax Shepard). The brothers are buying an old recording space from the '60s-'70s that was beloved by Jerry Garcia and the San Francisco-Berkeley music scene, and it will be a permanent set piece for Parenthood this season, so don't be surprised if more recording-artist guest stars come on board.

Christina, Blake, Adam...Here's looking at you.

Parenthood is the first NBC premiere out of the gate for the new season on Sept. 13. If you haven't been watching this show, get on board. It's crazy good.

{alltv} 'Pretty Little Liars' EP: The finale 'answers a lot of questions'

"Pretty Little Liars" is about to wrap its summer season with an action-packed summer finale before it returns in 2012 for the back-half of Season 2. Zap2it spoke with executive producer Marlene King, who dished some dirt on the finale details.

"For us, it's a really fun finale. If our Season 1 finale, which we now call 'The Bell Tower' finale, really asked a lot of questions, this finale is the opposite. It answers a lot of questions," says King. "It answers questions about the Jason thing, the N.A.T. club, some things that actually happened the night Alison was murdered."

Questions being answered?! We can hardly wait to find out. But that's not all. We've got a little Ezria dirt as well.

"The finale is completely a crisis red-alert for the PLLs and Ezra is pushed to the point where he is going to tell Ella about Aria, but she mistakes what he's saying," teases King. "She thinks he has come to the aid of the PLLs because he's in love with Spencer, so it's an interesting twist of events."

We aren't sure Ezra and Aria can straighten that one out without coming clean - and it also could spell trouble for Ezra.

The "Pretty Little Liars" summer finale airs Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.

Who's going "Dancing" this fall? Coming off its most successful year to date, "Dancing With the Stars" will try to keep the momentum rolling with a new group of celebrities.

ABC announced the cast (Aug. 29) during "Bachelor Pad." Meet the new cast, including a former MTV star and one of the few survivors of all four "Scream" movies:

Kristin Cavallari: Former star of "The Hills" and "Laguna Beach." Can she stay around longer than her former co-star Audrina Patridge did last fall?

Ron Artest: The L.A. Laker has found something to do during the NBA lockout.

Ricki Lake: Talk-show host, actress and star of the original "Hairspray" movie. Does she remember her dance moves from that?

David Arquette: The aforementioned "Scream" star once briefly held the WCW championship.

Chynna Phillips: The Wilson Phillips singer and her bandmates had a funny cameo at the end of "Bridesmaids."

Carson Kressley: He has parlayed his "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" success into a multifaceted TV/fashion/writing career.

Nancy Grace: The HLN host will be the one having judgment passed on her for a change.

J.R. Martinez: You know him from "All My Children," and he's also a veteran of the Iraq war.

Hope Solo: The breakout star of the U.S. Women's World Cup team was initially resistant to doing "DWTS" but apparently has changed her mind.

Rob Kardashian: Kim's little brother. She was eliminated third when she did "DWTS" in 2008; Rob will try to hang on longer than that.

Elisabetta Canalis: Best known as George Clooney's ex, she's also had a recurring part on TNT's sereis "Leverage."

Chaz Bono: The first transgender contestant ever on the show, the only child of Cher and Sonny Bono.

"Dancing With the Stars" kicks off its season Monday, Sept. 19 on ABC. What do you think of the new cast?
