NBC has given the go-ahead to three more new shows for its 2010-11 schedule.
The trio joins J.J. Abrams' Undercovers as NBC looks to revamp its schedule after cutting back much of its scripted program development in previous years.
NBC describes The Event as a conspiracy thriller about an everyman whose search for his missing fiancée leads to his discovery of the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. The cast includes Jason Ritter, Laura Innes and Blair Underwood.
Love Bites is a throwback to the comedic anthology series Love American Style. Each week it will feature three loosely connected stories about love, sex, marriage and dating. Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Becky Newton and Greg Grunberg appear in the pilot episode.
The new half-hour comedy in the group is Outsourced, which stars Ben Rappaport as a American novelty company manager who is transferred to the firm's operation in India.
