Did you hear the news? Han is solo no more.
And while you probably knew it was only a matter of time before Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart tied the knot—their engagement announcement should have been your first clue—here are some (five, to be exact) things you may not have known about the newlywed couple:
Klutziness Is a Turn-On: The couple met at the 2002 Golden Globes and while their relationship has certainly gone the distance, it didn't have the most auspicious start. Taking their now infamous meet-cute into her own hands, Calista intentionally spilled her drink on Harrison during an awards show afterparty in order to score more face time with the 22-years-her-senior heartthrob. Safe to say it worked out.
Their Timing Hasn't Always Been Perfect: Dry-cleaning bills aside, there was one other small hitch that might have tripped the couple up when they first met: Harrison was technically, um, still married. Ford separated from his ET screenwriter wife of 18 years, Melissa Mathison, in 2001, but the duo didn't officially divorce until 2004—two whole years after he and Calista hooked up.
He's an Officer and a Gentleman: Outdoorsman Ford owns a 700-acre ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and has lent his aviation skills (and helicopter) to volunteer efforts of the Teton County Sheriff's Department. After carrying out two rescue missions in the area, Ford was deputized and is a badge-carrying honorary deputy who still helps out with wildlife- and people-rescue missions.
They Have Friends in High Places: The duo was married Tuesday afternoon at a ceremony which not only took place at the New Mexico Governor's Mansion in Santa Fe, but was presided over by the state's Gov. Bill Richardson. Of course, Richardson isn't technically ordained to perform such ceremonies, so he pulled a few strings and enlisted the help of New Mexico Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Daniels. And while Calista's son Liam was present for the vow-swap, unfortunately, none of Harrison's four adult kids made the guest list. Not that they're mad. "Those crazy kids went off and eloped!" son Ben told People. "I'm so happy for them."
They Have as Much Interest in a Honeymoon as They Do in Your Celebrity Wedding Office Pool: Meaning, none. It was back to business as usual for the couple of eight years after their low-key vow swap, as Ford is due back on the set of his new sci-fi thriller, Cowboys and Aliens, which he's filming in New Mexico along with Daniel Craig.
