LONDON (Hollywood Reporter) – Fox has commissioned a pilot of British game show format "The Million Pound Drop," which will be renamed "The Money Drop" and film later this summer.

The show, which aired on Channel 4 last month over six consecutive nights, sees eight contestants handed a million dollars at the outset. The catch? They have to answer eight questions correctly before they get to take it home.

The multiplatform format allows viewers to play at home with virtual money.
