Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 1, 2010
The season premiere of "America's Got Talent" improved on its 2009 debut and gave NBC a ratings victory Tuesday night, while "Glee" fell off some without an "American Idol" lead-in.
Elsewhere, ABC got decent numbers from a two-hour "Wipeout" special and the debut of "Losing It with Jillian" scored a demographic win for NBC at 10 p.m.
For the night, NBC averaged 10.4 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/11 share in households, beating out CBS (9 million, 5.9/10) for the lead. ABC (8 million, 4.5/8) came in third overall, just ahead of FOX (7.6 million, 4.4/7). The CW was pretty much out of the picture with just 792,000 viewers and a 0.6/1.
FOX led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.4 rating, narrowly beating NBC's 3.3. ABC came in third with a 2.8. CBS drew a 1.6 and The CW a 0.4.
