Although The Bachelorette ended in heartbreak for Chris Lambton when Ali Fedotowsky picked his fellow finalist Roberto Martinez in the show's finale, his search for love is not over. In fact, the Cape Cod, Mass., landscaper told PEOPLE, "Everything happens for the right reason. That just means there's someone out there even better for me."
So, will Chris be looking for that someone as the star of The Bachelor? "It would be an amazing opportunity and a great way to find a wife," he said after the finale aired, "but I just don't know if I want to give out more of my personal story."
Now, EOnline reports that Chris has said he doesn't want another reality TV gig. However, "All of our best Bachelors have been hesitant at first," says a show source.
And the deal isn't done yet, according to the report. Producers are still hoping they can convince Chris to do the show.
"There are some obvious choices out there. I just want to try to deliver another great season and I like to mix things up," show creator Mike Fleiss said at a recent TCA panel. "We want to talk to everybody and make sure we're getting the right guy."
