"I'm really just comfortable, and it's just kind of a go with the flow, easy, relaxed situation that's making me very, very happy," Simpson, 30, told PEOPLE about Johnson at Wednesday's Dior Beauty's private luncheon benefitting Operation Smile.
Juggling work and a new love has the singer looking at a very busy fall. Set to record a Christmas album and launch her Jessica Simpson Denim Collection during Fashion Week, Simpson admits, "The next couple months I don't even think I have time to breathe."
Despite her hectic schedule, she made time to support her favorite charity, Operation Smile. Attending with friend and makeup artist Jeannia Robinette to raise money for reconstructive operations, Simpson said, "You could see people wanting to smile on the inside but just not able to smile on the outside, and to be able to give that gift is incredible."
