{alltv} Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam: The Emmys are a "Crock of S---"

Sons of Anarchy creator and executive producer Kurt Sutter isn't the only outspoken person on set, as was evident when the cast and crew fielded questions about their lack of Emmy recognition. Net nominations this year? Zero.

"I personally was really happy. I don't subscribe to Emmys or awards or any of that s---," star Charlie Hunnam said at the show's Television Critics Association panel for the FX drama on Tuesday. "I think it's all a crock of s---."

After coming off a critically acclaimed second season, Sons failed to garner any nominations; several TV critics, however, had put the series on their Emmy prediction lists for best drama series and best dramatic actress Katey Sagal.

Hunnam tried to explain that he wasn't suffering a case of sour grapes. "I was happy that ... we weren't on the receiving end of a force that could change the dynamic that we have," he said. "All of that crap, I think, is secondary and ... has the potential to ruin a good thing."

Sutter first vented about being snubbed when the nominations were announced last month, calling Sons "the dirty-faced outlaws" of the TV world. He was more than happy to share again his thoughts on the nomination process.

"All I have to say is half the stories are about the nominations and the other half of the stories are about the absurdity of the nominations and the snubs," Sutter said. "The system is somewhat flawed."

Cast member Mark Boone Jr. said he cares more about being recognized by the fans.

"It's the reaction of the people. When I hit the streets, it's amazing, the reaction," Junior said. "Emmy or no Emmy."
