Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010
Once again, "America's Got Talent" secured a Wednesday win for NBC -- this time with a YouTube-themed show that featured some viral video favorites -- appropriate, since so many of our favorite contestants made their public debut on the site.
Meanwhile, "So You Think You Can Dance" slipped just slightly, which wouldn't be notable except for the fact that it's finale week, when numbers usually get a boost.
NBC's 7.5 million viewers gave the network the lead with a 4.6 rating/8 share in households. Next up was CBS, boosted by "Big Brother," with 6.4 million viewers and 4.1/7. Fox was third (6.0 million, 3.6/6) followed by ABC (3.8 million, 2.5/4). The CW trailed with 1.2 million viewers and a 0.9/2.
In the 18-49 demographic, FOX and NBC were neck in neck, both with a 2.1. They were followed by CBS (1.7), ABC (1.1), and The CW (0.5).
