The CW has been rather stingy with releasing new footage of "The Vampire Diaries" as we all get ready for Season 2. Of course, I can't blame them - with a show as fast-paced and drama-packed as this one, anything more than a few seconds tends to be a major spoiler.
One thing is for sure -- Katherine (Nina Dobrev) is about to wreak major havoc between Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Though Damon has been pining for her for well over a century, it's Stefan that Katherine is speaking to when she says "I came back for you" in the newest promo spot for the Sept 9 season premiere.
Whether she came back to be with Stefan or to slaughter him, we don't know -- there's no telling with this girl. I'm pretty sure that regardless of her intentions, Damon isn't going to be happy to learn that he's not the center of Katherine's twisted universe.
The brothers Salvatore aren't the only ones about to rumble with Katherine -- there's a clip where she collides with Bonnie, and I hear that Katherine and Elena will finally come face to face, too.
