First a strip club, and now stubble...someone's trying to improve his street cred with the over-18 crowd.

Zac Efron was spotted at New York's JFK airport Wedneday sporting some serious facial hair. Maybe that's why girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens (not pictured) walked through the terminal separately?

The lovebirds were in town for a performance of Broadway's Memphis: The Musical—and apparently to give Zac's nascent scruff time to grow.
