Even the people who love Star Wars the most aren't above taking shots at it.
We recall uber-nerd Sheldon - played by Emmy Award winner Jim Parsons - pondering a viewing of some recent Star Wars fare with the words, "I prefer to let George Lucas disappoint me in the order he intended." Funny stuff.
But whether you're a devotee or an eye-roller, there's no denying that Star Wars has been one of the most enduring entertainment franchises of the past three decades. Case in point, the third season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars gets under way Friday, Sept. 17 on Teletoon.
How deeply you're into Star Wars mythology obviously is personal choice pertaining to time and space, so to speak. Nonetheless, Star Wars: The Clone Wars - a product of Lucasfilm Animation - certainly has a cool look to it.
In the third season, as evil bleeds into the very ranks of the Republic, courageous clone troopers try to hold the line against a blitzkrieg of deadly droids.
We dare say, even Sheldon might be watching. As long as he's watching the 22 episodes in the proper order, that is.
