Part 2 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion airs Monday (Sept. 6) on Bravo, but there was one moment from Part 1 that fans are still buzzing about.
Why did Teresa Giudice get so enraged when Danielle Staub accused of her of not acknowledging her nephew's birth?
Teresa, Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo appeared on Monday's "The Wendy Williams Show" and Teresa addressed the incident.
She explained that while some people heard her scream at Danielle, "Don't break up my family," she actually said, "Don't bring up my family." And as far as the accusation that she didn't acknowledge her nephew's birth, Teresa says she did.
"We were in California when my nephew was born," Teresa tells Wendy Williams. "So as soon as we got back from California, I went to go see my nephew in the hospital and that night I had a live tweet on talk bubble for the New York housewives. If my fans remember that, they'll remember I said that my nephew was born."
Then, Jacqueline interjected, "Whomever's obsessed can go back to Teresa's tweets back to the birth and they'll see her saying she was in the hospital visiting him."
"Obsessed" is a good word for it. Ever since the first part of the reunion aired, gossip on Teresa's nephew got out of control. Some said it was a veiled reference to Joe, Teresa's husband, having another child via an affair. Others have said that the nephew in question belongs to Joe's brother, who had a baby with an African-American woman, so the family didn't recognize the mixed-race baby's birth.
Both seem ludicrous now that Teresa says that she got to the hospital to visit the baby as soon as she could after her California trip. Does that calm the conspiracy theorists? We doubt it.
Part 2 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion airs Monday at 10 p.m. on Bravo.
