If Donald Trump could say two words to U.S. president Barack Obama, they might be, "You're fired!"
Trump seemed to be hinting at something like that while promoting the new season of The Apprentice, which returns Thursday, Sept. 16 on NBC and Global.
"If you remember, when we started The Apprentice (in 2004) it was this big hit but it was also in a different world," Trump said. "Times were booming and now times are just the opposite of booming.
"You know, I'm not a big fan of the way the country's being run, to be honest with you. So when you say if there's faith in the country, I think it's the faith that we're going to end up changing the country. Because if we don't, this country's in big trouble. I feel that very strongly."
So what does Trump think the U.S. needs?
"Well, I have one thing: Great leadership," Trump said.
"The world is eating our lunch (economically), so that's the way it is, pretty sad."
