Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010
It was the battle of the reality shows again, with NBC taking the title for most eyeballs for the night, but FOX making away with the demo win.
Against the summer reality shows, The CW kicked off the fall season with the 15th cycle of "America's Next Top Model" and cheerleader drama "Hellcats," which actually drew a few more viewers than its lead in for a modestly successful debut for the network.
NBC led the night overall with 8.4 million viewers and a 5.2 rating/9 share in households. CBS drew 6.8 million people and a 4.3/7 for second, while FOX took third witha 5.7 million, 3.3/6. ABC followed with 4.1 million, 2.7/5, and The CW trailed with 2.9 million, 1.9/3.
The 18-49 adult demographic rallied to FOX for a 2.4 rating, but NBC wasn't too far behind with a 2.1. The rest: CBS, 1.8, The CW, 1.3, and ABC, 1.2.
