Zsa Zsa Gabor is surviving on a diet of mashed potato and jelly as she fights to recover from her devastating bout of ill health earlier this year.
The aging star, 93, has been in and out of hospital since breaking her hip at the couple's Beverly Hills home in July and became so frail at one stage, a priest was called to read the actress her Last Rites.
She is currently in a stable condition at her home where a team of nurses is aiding her fight back to health, and the star is making positive signs of a recovery - she has started eating again.
Her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt tells German magazine Bunte, "She is eating. She eats like a bird, though. Only mash and Jello Jelly. From time to time she drinks a bit of orange juice as well. My Zsa Zsa is and will remain a nursing case.
"My wife should get all the medical luxury available. Everything here belongs to her. She has worked hard for it and now everything is used for her recovery and well being."
