{alltv} Caught in the Act! - Oct 5, 2010

• Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson stepped out for drinks with a friend at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. While Reynolds ordered a cocktail, his wife opted for a glass of red wine. Soon, Johansson ventured across the patio and joined a table of female friends, while her husband caught up with the male guest. But she returned to his table shortly after, and the couple continued their low-key night before moving inside for more drinks.

• Also at the Chateau Marmont: Nicole Richie, having a girls' night out with Samantha Ronson and two other friends. Mostly, the group gabbed, though Richie occasionally spent time on her phone in between bites of her hamburger, which she split with Ronson. After dinner, they all moved to a smaller table on the side patio, where they kept drinking.

• Where was Brody? Though her beau wasn't there, Avril Lavigne celebrated her 26th birthday at Sapphire, a strip club in Las Vegas, with a group of friends. The singer sat on the floor – close enough to the action to get the male performances to dance just for her. But Lavigne wasn't shy herself, and she gladly got up and danced for her friends and the performers as well.

• Jesse James and girlfriend Kat von D shared burgers, fries and sodas at Counter in West Hollywood. The twosome "kept kissing during lunch," an eyewitness tells us of the quiet duo. "Their relationship seemed to have matured a bit and Jesse looked very happy to be out with Kat."

• Matthew Morrison, making the rounds at Trousdale in L.A. and greeting friends. After his initial lap, the Glee star settled in the back room with his friend. Morrison was pretty approachable, though, and he happily talked with fans who chatted him up.
