After taking a breather from Hollywood to tackle some personal problems, Chris Klein is dipping his toe back in the biz with a role on Fox's The Good Guys.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the American Pie actor — who did a 30-day stint in rehab over the summer following a second DUI arrest in June — has been cast as Jack's (Colin Hanks) old partner, George, in an episode shooting next week.

While not the brightest bulb, George has been using his charm and connections to climb the ranks of the Dallas Police Department. Jack, meanwhile, is stuck in property crimes. Ouch.

Good Guys airs Fridays at 9 p.m.
