The latest "Dancing With the Stars" contestant sent home is "Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. The Situation's Argentine Tango with partner Karina Smirnoff to "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" earned a combined score of 28 from the judges, the lowest of the night, so it's not a shock he was eliminated.
In addition to the elimination, the Goo Goo Dolls were on hand to perform (hello 1998, nice to see you) and so were Florence and the Machine, which brought us back to the present quite nicely.
The other couples in danger were Bristol Palin/Mark Ballas and Kurt Warner/Anna Trebunskaya, who were also the two other lowest-scored couples. But that doesn't necessarily mean they were the lowest vote-getters.
Are you sad The Situation is leaving "Dancing With the Stars"?
