LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – "The Social Network" has already found its home on the small screen.
FX has acquired the television premiere rights to the Facebook movie, which stars a young cast led by Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, the network announced Tuesday.
In addition, the cable network has acquired rights to Oliver Stone's "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," the sequel to the 1987 flick.
Both films are slated to air on FX in early 2013.
"The Social Network," which opened wide October 1, has received positive reviews across the board and is already considered a leading contender for Oscar nominations.
Though it was estimated that the film could rake in up to $30 million in its first weekend, it fell slightly below expectations with a solid $23 million.
"Wall Street 2," which stars Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Michael Douglas, took in $10.1 million in its second weekend for a box-office total of $35.9 million.
