Julien Hug, a bachelor on Jillian Harris' season of "The Bachelorette," was found dead on Wednesday in Riverside, CA, according to NBC News. Riverside County sheriff's deputies say Hug's body was found in a remote area off Highway 74 near Pinyon Pines around 11 a.m. local time.
The 35-year-old son of San Diego restaurateurs Bertrand and Denise Hug was reported missing several days prior. Officials say an autopsy has yet to be performed and the cause of his death is still under investigation.
Jillian Harris tweets Thursday morning: "Please say a prayer for the loss of a friend this morning. Life is fragile, don't forget to love the ones you love."
In 2009 on "The Bachelorette," Hug was one of 30 bachelors introduced to Jillian the first night. He was filmed driving a Lamborghini and talking about his love of skydiving. Julien did receive a rose that first night.
On the second episode, however, he received the third-most votes for the guy the other contestants wanted to vote out of the house (behind Juan and Dave). Hug also did not have a date that episode and ended up going home.
