Now and again, Clint Bowyer has a daydream.
It's a little dream sequence that goes like this: "Clint Bowyer, come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right."
"Man I love that show," Bowyer said. "Everybody grew up watching The Price is Right and you always thought you knew more than the guys on it trying to win."
For sure, Bowyer watched enough episodes with his mom back in the day to know how to win a Showcase Showdown or two, but next week he'll be the one presenting the prizes instead of playing the game.
The day after his runner-up finish last month at Fontana, Bowyer and Austin Dillon shot a special NASCAR-themed episode of the Price is Right that airs Monday on CBS. The drivers will present two NASCAR showcases, featuring a trip to North Carolina and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, a trip to Miami to see all three races during championship weekend, and a Chevy Impala LS.

Only one person can win and, yes you guessed it. Bowyer gets to award his showcase which includes, "A brand new car! Sorry, I've always wanted to say that," Bowyer said with a laugh. "I had to do it, I practiced it in rehearsal. I've been on shows before but The Price is Right is huge and it was a neat opportunity."
The Price is Right is the longest-running game show in television history and is hosted by Drew Carey who, as fate would have it, has a young son who wants get into racing and hit up Austin Dillon for advice.
The experience for Bowyer was comic relief for what seemingly has been a Chase of highs and lows. Through it all he has maintained his sense of humor and optimism.
"And I even got to keep one of those price tag name tags the contestants wear, that was cool," Bowyer said.
What would be even cooler for Bowyer is winning another Chase race.
Bowyer had his championship chances explode after NASCAR docked him 150 points for a rules infraction after winning the first Chase race at New Hampshire. Still, he went on to finish second at Fontana and won again at Talladega.
Bowyer jumped two spots in points to 10th after a seventh-place finish at Texas. If he finishes 10th or better in points, he will be among those recognized at the Champion's Week awards banquet.
"When you think about it we should've won three races in this Chase," he said. "The greedy side of me thinks that way after losing my crew chief and my over-the-wall guys, it kind of messed up my mojo but to get that second win changed everything and it's important for us to cap off the season on a high note and I think we will get to walk across that stage."
