The future of Demi Lovato's hit Disney show Sonny With a Chance is hanging in the balance following the singer/actress' decision to enter rehab - because TV bosses want to ensure her health is her main priority before deciding whether or not to continue shooting the hit show.
The 18 year old pulled out of the final dates of her South American tour with the Jonas Brothers last month to seek professional help to address "emotional and physical" issues.
The drama has prompted Disney executives to reconsider the future of the show amid allegations from Lovato's father that she was exhausted and overworked.
A Disney representative tells TMZ.com, "The health and well-being of Demi comes first and if we have to make other plans, we will."
Specific details about Lovato's decision to seek treatment for her troubles have yet to be revealed.
Plans for a second season of the TV programme were put on hold in July to allow Lovato to hit the road with the Jonas Brothers, and production on the new series was due to resume in January.
