Disney is fast-tracking a musical series tentatively titled Madison High, according to Deadline.com.
The show will center on students trying to build their theater program. Featuring all original music, the show will follow the kids (who periodically break into song and dance) as they navigate high school and prepare to put on a production at the end of the school year.
Lester Lewis (The Office) is set to write and executive-produce the series with Paul Hoen (Camp Rock 2) directing.
Disney had a huge hit in the musical genre with 2006's High School Musical, which led to High School Musical 2 for the network and High School Musical: Senior Year on the big screen.
A fourth film is in the works, as well as next year's spinoff, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, starring Ashley Tisdale.
