With all the talk of Prince William's impending wedding and the fiftieth anniversary of John F. Kennedy's presidential inauguration, it only makes sense that Americans will want to look back to the closest thing we have to royalty and dubbed "The First Family," The Kennedys.
While the scripted miniseries is mired in controversy, TLC gives us two hours of Kennedy memories in "Kennedys' Home Movies."
It follows three generations of the family including Joe Sr.'s rise to political power, JFK's and Jackie Kennedy's romance, JFK's election to the presidency, and how Bobby and the remaining generations kept the family legacy after the President's death and always remembered Joe Sr.'s mantra, "Stick with family."
In this sneak peek, narrator, "The West Wing" star Stockard Channing, introduces us to the family's home away from home and safe harbor during difficult times: The Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Mass.
