The final two cast members to join Survivor: Redemption Island have been revealed — and they're sure to bring the drama.
Villains Russell Hantz and "Boston" Rob Mariano will return to competition for yet another chance to win the prize.
"Having never been awarded the title of Sole Survivor, Hantz and Mariano return to compete for the $1 million prize and one last shot at redemption," CBS said in a statement. "They will each join a separate tribe of all new castaways at the start of the game, but it is the tribe who will ultimately decide if they will welcome the knowledge of an experienced veteran, or view these former castaways as a threat."
Hantz, 38, was the runner-up of Survivor: Somoa, and second runner-up of Heroes vs. Villains. Mariano, 35, finished 10th in Marquesas, 13th in Heroes vs. Villians, and was the runner-up of All-Stars. Mariano also participated in two Seasons of The Amazing Race.
Season 22 of the reality hit features Redemption Island, where players are sent after being voted off and compete in duels. The winner will then get to stay on Redemption Island and continue dueling with the rest of the eliminated participants. Toward the end of the game, the Redemption Island victor will be allowed to re-enter the game and compete for the $1 million prize.
CBS revealed the other 16 contestants on Monday. They include a former Marine, two NFL veterans and an ex-beauty queen.
Survivor: Redemption Island premieres Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 8/7c on CBS.
