We'll find out the identity of the next "Bachelorette" on Monday night (March 14), and we'll get to start watching her in a couple of months.
ABC has set a premiere date for the seventh edition of "The Bachelorette": 9 p.m. ET Monday, May 23, following (presumably) the final performances on "Dancing With the Stars." It will then move to 8 p.m. Mondays starting May 30.
Meanwhile, EW is reporting that ABC has also renewed "The Bachelor" for another season -- its 16th(!) -- in 2012. The move isn't much of a surprise; the current season is off quite a bit in the ratings compared to last year (which averaged 12.2 million viewers and a 4.4 rating among adults 18-49), but it's still pretty healthy. Heading into Monday's finale, the show is drawing 10.2 million viewers a week and a 3.4 demo rating.
You'll also see a second season of "Bachelor Pad" in the summer, though a premiere date hasn't been set.
