{alltv} Doctor Who' readies for Season 6 and 'Impossible Astronaut' with new promo, pics

 

There is so much good stuff coming out of the "Doctor Who" camp in anticipation of the simultaneous April 26 premieres for Season 6 in the U.S. and U.K.

First we got this handsome image of the Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) pointing their sonic screwdriver at, presumably, the 2-part season premiere's titular "Impossible Astronaut," and now the BBC is following up that frenetic, vague teaser trailer with a substantially more revealing one.

So what does it have? Only all of your worst childhood nightmares. There are puppets, baby masks, what looks like the zombie girl from "The Ring" and the Doctor himself in sad clown make-up. Creepy!

And if that doesn't make you nervous, the returning River Song's (Alex Kingston) voice over about the dark days to come should have you sufficiently antsy.  At least she's sporting a pretty awesome laser weaponry.
