Fast National ratings for Tuesday, March 23, 2011
With "Glee" in reruns and "Dancing With the Stars" still a week away from joining ABC's Tuesday lineup, CBS breezed to a ratings win, leading all three hours of primetime.
CBS averaged 15.7 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/16 share in households Tuesday night, leading its closest competition by about 9 million viewers. ABC (6.5 million, 4.1/7) and NBC (6.48 million, 4.1/7) finished in a virtual tie for second. FOX (4.4 million, 2.7/4) came in fourth, and The CW (770,000, 0.5/1) trailed with a night of reruns.
The adults 18-49 demographic also tipped CBS' way, although the race was closer. The Eye averaged 3.0 in the demo, beating out NBC's 2.4 for the lead. ABC came in third with a 1.7, edging FOX's 1.6. The CW drew a 0.3.
