"Wonder Woman" has found its Steve Trevor.
Justin Bruening, who starred in NBC's "Knight Rider" remake in 2008-09, has been cast as the male lead/love interest for Diana (Adrianne Palicki) in the NBC pilot, Deadline reports.
Trevor's origin story in Wonder Woman comics has changed over the years, but in his original incarnation, he was an Army officer whose plane crashed on Paradise Island, home of Diana and the Amazons. Diana helps him get healthy again and then returns with him to the United States; they later have a sort of Superman-Lois Lane relationship, as she's constantly rescuing him from one villain or another.
In the new pilot, written by David E. Kelley, Trevor will be a veteran who now works in the Justice Department.
Prior to "Knight Rider," Bruening did several seasons on "All My Children."
