"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Amber Benson made quite an impression when she appeared in a Season 2 episode of "Supernatural" as Lenore... a vampire, of course. She was one of the rare creatures that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) let go free, since she'd opted to live on animal blood instead of killing humans.
We're so glad that the writers remembered that they still had this particular character in their bag of tricks. Right now, the Winchesters need all the allies they can get. Benson returns to the series for the first time since 2006 in the Friday, April 29 episode "Mommy Dearest."
Sam and Dean interrogate Lenore about the Mother of All, who has been released from Purgatory and is now on a havoc-wreaking road trip across the country. Lenore isn't particularly forthcoming with the information, though. "Eve? I have nothing to say about Eve," she snarls. "I'm trying to stay away from her."
She reveals that Eve's voice in the heads of the monsters drives them to commit evil deeds. "They left and started killing again," she says of her friendly vampire cohorts. She herself has been hiding in a basement, trying to resist the call of the Mother.
