Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell will continue dabbling in the young adult book field with two more novels, HarperCollins announced Monday.
Bushnell traveled back in time with The Carrie Diaries to introduce a teenage version of Carrie Bradshaw, the character made popular by Sarah Jessica Parker on the HBO series. Her follow up, Summer in the City, hits book stores on April 26 and will tell the story of Carrie's first summer in New York, including how she met best friends Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.
"The young Carrie Bradshaw has endeared herself to readers everywhere and we can't wait to read more of her new adventures as she grows up with her audience. We look forward to some exceptionally exciting publishing," HarperCollins Publisher Ann-Janine Murtagh, said in a statement.
