If there's one thing Chris Jericho found unfair about his time on Dancing with the Stars with partner Cheryl Burke, it wasn't the duo's elimination on Tuesday night.
In fact, the former wrestling champ, 40, admits, "We had it coming."
"I enjoyed yesterday, but it wasn't our best," he told reporters backstage Tuesday. "Before, we did better."
So what bothered Jericho about the show?
"Sometimes they showed more of the serious side of Cheryl and our rehearsals, whereas they're showing Chelsea [Kane] and Mark [Ballas] have water fights and stuff like that," he said. "We didn't have water fights, but we had a lot of good ... fun, and they never tended to show that."
"Especially in the beginning, they were kind of painting a different picture," Jericho continued. "But every package has to have a purpose to it."
Based on what producers did decide to show, Jericho wants to assure viewers, "I had a great time with Cheryl."
"She's really funny and we have similar personalities, which is why I think we got along so well," he said. "And it's funny, after two months of seeing each other everyday, it's going to be weird [now]."
What's next for Jericho now that he's hung up his dancing shoes?
"I'm just going to go home and be a dad," he says. "I live in Florida, so ... it's hard. It's nice to ... get back to the real world and get back to what's really important."
As for any future footwork, Jericho says it's unlikely he'll hit the ballroom without Burke, 26, in tow.
"I know six routines [but] I don't know where I'm going to do my six routines," he tells PEOPLE. "If Cheryl isn't there, who am I going to dance with? I could try and teach it to my wife, but it would take 75 hours, which is what it took for [Burke and me]."
