There's no way this news can mean anything but potential devastation. Matthew Morrison reportedly confirmed that a character will die in an upcoming episode of "Glee."
"Somebody's dying," Morrison allegedly says in an interview with E! Online. (Oddly, we can't find a link to the original interview on the E! site, so we're taking this with a grain of salt.) "Obviously I'm not going to tell you who it is, but it's no-one that you would probably expect."
Hmm. No one that we expect. So that could mean a real shocker -- Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) -- or a heartbreaking, yet cast-preserving death, like, say, Burt Hummel.
In March, "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy also confirmed to Zap2it that a death would be coming up, but the only detail he added was that it wouldn't be bully Dave Karofsky.
"The episode right before the finale is called 'Funeral'," said Morrison to E!. "We were actually at a funeral home yesterday, shooting all day. It was a very taxing day."
Morrison also hinted that his character, Will Shuester, and Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) will get closer before the end of the season and that frequent guest star Kristin Chenoweth will indeed be making a return visit to McKinley High.
"[Chenoweth's character] April's coming back," Morrison says. "I don't know if she's quite sobered up yet! Her all-white production of The Wiz failed on Broadway so she's going to start doing a one-woman show that she's getting ready to show on Broadway. So she's asking for my help."
