"Dancing With the Stars" proved a little "Harry Potter" goes a long way on Monday, Apr. 11.
Chelsea Kane and her partner Mark Ballas decided to add a little a lot of magic to their Viennese waltz by setting it to the "Harry Potter" theme song, a choice that made our Muggle hearts swoon. Ballas has received criticism from the judges --cough Len cough -- this season for pushing the boundaries of each dance, something he did again with their waltz.
"Mark, you are a marvelous teacher and a great choreographer. Chelsea, you are a fantastic dancer," Len Goodman commented. "So why is it, every time I see you, there's something I don't like?!" Before Snape Len could continue, Bruno Tonioli butted in with, "Expelliarmus, Voldemort!" In unrelated news, Bruno is now Zap2it's favorite "DWTS" judge.
Len proved he knows his Potter terminology as well with this retort: "Why don't you jump on your Nimbus 2000 and bugger off?" (Correction: Len is now Zap2it's favorite!)
Despite Len's complaint about their lack of respect for the tradition of the 300 year-old dance, he still gave the duo an 8, while Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno handed out a pair of 9's. Chelsea and Mark's score of 26 put them on top of the leader board.
"We had a blast. I mean, we were dancing to "Harry Potter," Chelsea gushed after the dance. Mark said he just wanted to keep the dance young and fresh.
