Growing up in a funny family can get on your nerves, according to Damon Wayans, Jr.
Wayans, whose family has been a staple on the comedy scene for decades, is one of the stars of the new sitcom Happy Endings, which debuts with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, April 13 on ABC and Citytv.
"We're a very close-knit family, even the extended," Wayans said. "We all get together for anything, really, for basketball games or whatever. We just all meet up and count each other, pretty much."
But is there so much humour flying around that it goes in one ear and out the other?
"Yes, to the point where nothing's really funny, because everybody's saying funny stuff," Wayans said. "It's just like, 'All right! Let's talk about something right now, PLEASE!' "
Happy Endings also stars Canadian Elisha Cuthbert, Casey Wilson, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally and Eliza Coupe.
