Season 10 of American Idol always was, and still is, anybody's game.
And with only five contestants left on the Fox/CTV sing-off, it's harder than ever to predict who's going home this week -- never mind who's going to win the whole thing on the May 25 finale.
This week, on Wednesday night each member of the Top 5 will perform both a current song and a tune from the 1960s, and on Thursday someone will get cut. Here's a look at the five still fighting -- and why they all deserve to be there until the end.
Jacob Lusk
Age: 23
Hometown: Compton, Calif.

Why he could win: His exaggerated high notes have gotten a little redundant lately, but drama king Lusk is still the competition's sole soul star -- and one of the best it's ever had, at that. Plus, he's just one of those guys you want to hug.
Lauren Alaina
Age: 16
Hometown: Rossville, Ga.
Why she could win: Poor song choice has plagued sweet Southerner Alaina's Idol career, but you can't blame her -- she's only 16! Not that you'd be able to tell from her supersized country-pop chops, which fall somewhere between Kelly Clarkson's and Carrie Underwood's. Not a bad place to be sitting, y'all.
Scotty McCreery
Age: 17
Hometown: Garner, N.C.
Why he could win: OK, so he looks like Alfred E. Neuman. But boyish baritone Scotty sounds like Trace Adkins and Johnny Cash, which boosts his sex appeal bigtime -- not that I'm saying it's appropriate to refer to a 17-year-old as "sexy". Um, moving on ...
James Durbin
Age: 22
Hometown: Santa Cruz, Calif.
Why he could win: Why couldn't he? Durbin is Adam Lambert, minus some of the flamboyance (and plus a lot more edge). He and his signature butt scarf have conquered everything from Sammy Hagar's Heavy Metal to The Shirelles' Will You Love Me Tomorrow. And he's done it all while suffering from Tourette's and Asperger's.
Haley Reinhart
Age: 20
Hometown: Wheeling, Ill.
Why she could win: Sure, she's had a bit of an identity crisis -- and at least one red lipstick fiasco -- but when Haley's hot she's hot, and she's the only Idol who has ever made yodeling sound cool. If she gets her act together this week, she might be safe.
