Let's assume that Scotty McCreery and James Durbin are the favorites to make American Idol's finale later this month. If that's the case, what are the prospects for the three remaining contestants?
According to the latest Idol Meter post from Ken Barnes, Jacob Lusk has "no chance" to win. "His over-the-top style and dismal song picks will send him packing," Ken predicts.
This week's theme, where contestants will sing both a current song and a '60s tune, presents a special challenge for Haley Reinhart. "With two songs, she can split her personality more dramatically," Ken writes. "She has to hope variety and visual appeal will win the day."
Though Ken believes James and Scotty both out-sing Lauren Alaina, he can envision a scenario where one of them falters and her consistent performances take her to the Top Two. "Then anything can happen," he says.
What do you think? Can any of these three singers get in the way of a James vs. Scotty showdown?
