"Your feet are very slow so move your a**. And by your a**, I mean your feet."
And quote of the night goes to Maksim Chmerkovskiy! Maks said this to his "Dancing With the Stars" celebrity partner Kirstie Alley on Monday, May 9. Kirstie and Maks were at the bottom of the leader board last week and were in danger of going home, which the judges attributed to her lackluster jive. "The pressure is on," Kirstie said.
Kirstie suffered a few falls during rehearsals due to her dieting. After her second fall (off a three-step platform), Maks asked how many calories she has been eating. "1,400 calories," she said before Maks suggested she eat more. After their performance, Kirstie said, "I wasn't intentionally not eating. I forgot!"
Luckily, all of their hardships paid off as the audience loved their aggressive Argentinian tango. But what did the judges think?
Len Goodman: "The tango is all about creating a mood. You've only got eyes for one another, there's no one else in the room; you guys captured that feeling. It was hot!"
Bruno Tonioli: "Fabulous. Sensual. Sultry. A hint of aggression. Just the right of passion. Your footwork was brilliant. Your body is shrinking, your talent is huge!"
Carrie Ann Inaba: "With this performance, I felt like I was watching real-life acted out in front of me. The real passion, the real chemistry, the real drama, all unfolding. It's very nice to see that from you. Your cha cha was your best, but I think you just topped your cha cha."
Carrie, Len scored the couple with 9s with Bruno awarded their "sultry" tango with a 10. It was the couple's first 10 of the season.
What did you think of Kirstie and Maks' tango?
