Fast national ratings for Saturday, May 7.
Saturday's prime-time viewing was mostly devoted to NBA basketball. ABC's airing of the NBA Conference Semi-finals: Miami Heat vs. the Boston Celtics steadily grew in viewership throughout the evening, chased -- not especially closely -- by FOX's live coverage of the NASCAR Showtime Southern 500.
ABC led the night in total viewers with 7 million and a 2.9 rating/10 share. Fox pulled in a tidy Saturday night audience as well, with 6.3 million watching and a 1.8 rating/6 share. The rest of the TV watching was a hodge-podge of crime procedurals and true crime programming -- "NCIS," "CSI: Miami," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "48 Hours Mystery," none of which did especially hopping business.
