Kelsey Grammer has been targeted by internet pranksters who hacked into his email account and sent a rude message to the actor's friends.
The Frasier star discovered his emails had been accessed on Wednesday when a message was sent out to his contacts. The email contained a number of insulting references to Grammer's ex-wife Camille.
Grammer was quick to contact all those who had received the online correspondence, explaining in a follow-up email that the message had been sent "without my knowledge, consent or authority" by "third parties". He added, "May I suggest that it is 'they' who owe you an apology".
The actor's representative Stan Rosenfield confirmed the incident to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.
