{alltv} Ryan Seacrest Gives Back in a Big Way, Opens Broadcast Center at Children's Hospital

Seriously, is there nothing Ryan Seacrest can't do?!

Earlier today, the E! News anchor (just one of his roughly half-dozen jobs we get exhausted simply thinking about) headed east, where the Hollywood do-gooder's titular Ryan Seacrest Foundation launched The Voice, a super-cool, super-heartwarming new broadcast center at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

And since our Ryan is nothing if not connected, he even had a surprise guest join him for the ribbon-cutting ceremony: none other than Selena Gomez.

So just what is The Voice all about?

Thanks for asking! The interactive, closed-circuit broadcast multimedia center housed in the Children's Hospital will provide patients with opportunities (and pretty cool ones at that) that they wouldn't otherwise be offered.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art space, kids will be able to engage in all manner of activities related to radio, TV and new media, including broadcasting, acting as a DJ (something Ryan can no doubt provide a few pointers on), playing their favorite songs and even watching live artists perform (hi, Selena!) and interviewing celebrities who happen to drop by.

And what with this being a Seacrest production and all, you know stars will probably be lining up at the door. Shortly after the ribbon-cutting, Ryan himself kicked things off, conducing the space's inaugural interview with Gomez.

"I'm excited to bring The Voice to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia," Seacrest said. "The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is a leading pediatric clinical and research facility and a national leader in developing techniques to support the patient's emotional well-being. The Voice closed-circuit broadcast center is a new addition to their existing Child Life programs and provides creative, interactive entertainment."

It's also an absolute extension of what the Ryan Seacrest Foundation does, as the organization is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seriously ill and injured children through unique programs that utilize multimedia and interactive platforms to enlighten, entertain and educate.

Way to go, Ryan.
