TORONTO - A new cable channel will make sure that "Survivor" continues to survive on Canadian televisions.
Canwest has announced the launch of the Global Reality Channel, which will strictly broadcast reality programming. The new channel feature reality franchises including "Big Brother," "The Apprentice" and, of course, "Survivor."
Other shows confirmed for launch include "Project Runway Canada," "X-Weighted," "Fear Factor," "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" and "Deal or No Deal Canada."
The Global Reality Channel will launch July 1.
It will be available at first to Rogers customers. Canwest will look to bring the channel to other cable providers soon, according to a release from the company.
