24 alum Gregory Itzin has signed on for a multi-episode arc on USA's upcoming spy series Covert Affairs, a series rep said.
The 62-year-old Itzin — who played President Charles Logan in 24 — will play Henry Wilcox, the father of Sendhil Ramamurthy's character, Jai, and the former Director of Clandestine Services.
Eriq La Salle, who also appeared in 24's final season, will guest-star in one episode, playing a former East Africa operative who quit after a nervous breakdown.
Affairs, which premieres Tuesday, July 13 at 10/9c, stars Piper Perabo as a young CIA trainee thrust into the field because the agency has taken special interest in her ex-boyfriend.
The casting news was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.
