ABC says no one was "ever physically in harm's way" during the taping of an interview between Bachelor alum Jake Pavelka and ex- fiancé Vienna Girardi.
"Former The Bachelor participants Jake and Vienna taped an interview last night," read the statement. "As this was the first time the two had seen one another since their recent breakup, the atmosphere was emotionally charged. However, and contrary to reports that have surfaced about the interview, at no time was anyone ever physically in harm's way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence."
The statement was issued following Star and RadarOnline's reports claiming that Pavelka went into a rage during the interview and pulled back his arm and made a fist toward Girardi.
The pair met Wednesday for the first time since they announced their breakup earlier this week for a follow-up Bachelor interview scheduled to air during the July 5 episode of The Bachelorette.
After the couple's split, Pavelka, 32, told People he broke up with Girardi, 24, after their three-month relationship because of "trust issues."
