Gary Coleman's wife Shannon Price struggled to help the star after he fell and hit his head in his Utah home last week - because she couldn't deal with all the blood pouring out of her husband's wound.
The former child star was hospitalized following the incident last Tuesday, but his condition rapidly deteriorated and he slipped into a coma on Thursday after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was taken off life support on Friday and died, aged 42.
The details surrounding Coleman's accident remain a mystery but, in a recording of Price's emergency call - obtained by TMZ.com, she can be heard panicking as she desperately asks for help.
Price insists she has no idea what happened, telling the operator, "I'm gagging. I've got blood on myself. I can't deal... (there's) blood everywhere."
In the call, Coleman's wife reveals her husband is conscious but "not with it".
Price told the dispatcher she was unable to drive her husband to the hospital herself because she was sick and feared she might suffer a seizure.
