As 12 contestants battle it out on TV for the "Dance Your A** Off" title and a $100,000 grand prize, folks across the country can take on the "Dance Off a Million" challenge.
While Oxygen's hit dance/weight loss series premieres Monday (June 7) with a brand new L.A. makeover, a nationwide five-city tour will coincide. This will be the second "DYAO" tour and will feature dance performers, competitions, tips for healthy living, giveaways, and some "special guests." Oxygen will also be challenging consumers to "Dance Off a Million" calories as a part of a promotion to benefit the American Heart Association.
Shayla from Season 1 will emcee the events in all five cities and new "DYAO" host Mel B will make a June 14 appearance at the New York stop in Times Square.
The tour kicked off Sunday (June 6) in St. Paul, MN and is on its way to the following four cities:
New Orleans, LA - Vieux to Do - Friday, June 11 - 10:30-11:30 (parade), Saturday, June 12 - 11:00am -7:00pm (tour)
New York, NY - Times Square - Monday, June 14 - 11:00am - 3:30pm, 5:00pm - 9:30pm, at the Pedestrian Plaza on Broadway between 42nd and 43rd Street.
Washington D.C. - Safeway's National BBQ Battle - Saturday, June 26th, 11:00am - 9:00pm; Sunday, June 27th, 11:00am - 7:30pm
Orlando, FL - Universal Orlando Resort - Friday, July 9th - 6:00pm - 12:00am; Saturday, July 10th - 6:00pm - 12:00am
Shayla will hand out $15,000 checks from Oxygen and the "DYAO" Tour to the American Heart Association via the local chapters at each tour stop.
