Turns out Craig McKinnon just wasn't that into The Bachelorette.
The 34-year-old Toronto bachelor told media Thursday that he knew Ali Fedotowsky wasn't the one for him even before she eliminated him during Monday's rose ceremony on the ABC reality TV series.
"Honestly, from the beginning, I wasn't that interested in Ali and I think you could see that," said McKinnon, a suave, Sarnia-raised dental sales rep. "When I saw that (The Bachelorette) was Ali, I wanted to enjoy the experience and go on the show and have fun with it either way."
That he did. During his two-week stint on the matchmaking series, McKinnon got labelled "dangerous" by fellow competitor Jonathan Novack — who he spent the bulk of Monday's episode mocking.
"I was not serious at all," McKinnon said. "I was totally joking and having a good time. I think Jonathan may be a little uptight, possibly."
The Bachelorette airs Mondays. Toronto entertainment wrestler Justin Rego is the last Canadian standing.
