The split between Bachelor-turned Dancing With the Stars contestant Jake Pavelka, and his fiancé Vienna Girardi seems to be gaining momentum in the rumor mill department.
The latest allegation is that following a June 23 'closure interview' with Bachelor host Chris Harrison, Girardi has gone into hiding, fearful for her safety.
A source close to Pavelka tells PEOPLE, "That's bull. Jake did not threaten her. Anyone that knows Jake – including Vienna – knows that physically threatening someone is not in his character."
A rep for Pavelka confirms to PEOPLE that the Dallas pilot has not seen Girardi since taping the obligatory and final face-to-face meeting in front of the cameras, which will air on ABC July 5.
Pavelka's rep further confirms the once-again bachelor flew to Dallas Thursday morning to visit with family and make an appearance on Good Morning Texas.
Reps for Girardi could not be reached for comment.
