We have to say that we were really worried that "Jersey Shore" had maxed out its trashtastic flava after Season 1.
With all the news about their salary negotiations, it had seemed their egos had gotten too big. And while that may be true, the producers of the show did a great job of showing that the kids are still just dealing with the things kids do: gossip, breakups, the ups and down of friendship and, yes, hooking up.
OK, so before you accuse us of waxing poetic about a show that depicts under-educated kids getting trashed and fighting all the time, we'll remind you that we know exactly what the show is. And that's why we enjoyed the premiere and have high hopes for the rest of the season.
We really think there's enough drama in the kids' usual antics in a new Miami Beach locale, the return of house trashbag, Angelina Pivarnick, and the drama of Ronnie Magro and Sammi Giancola's breakup to get them through this season.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it as they say. The show was a hit for MTV with 5 million people tuning into its finale, so obviously more people watch the show out there than are willing to admit. Season 1 worked and if you enjoyed it like we did, then judging from the previews we're going to enjoy Season 2, as well.
What were your thoughts on the premiere? Are you excited about what's to come?
